Real Long Island Wedding: Jaclynn and Richard
The 4th of July has always been my Husband’s favorite holiday. Between the patriotism, the BBQ, and the fireworks, he’s always in his element. When we fell in love with our Venue (Smithtown Landing Country Club) and found out they had that date open, we were sold! Instead of hosting our usual July 4th BBQ in our backyard, this year we hosted our closest friends and family at our 4th of July wedding! We kept true to the holiday, with a subtle American/Country Theme, with sunflowers and burlap touches, royal blue Bridal Party colors, and personalized BBQ sauce.
I’ve always been a hands-on crafty girl kind of, and I went DIY crazy with the wedding, but I don’t regret it one bit! All the hard work paid off when everyone loved my little touches, and raved how nice everything came out, especially my Program fans (even though it rained so they were more decorative than useful!)
Rain aside; we had the best night of our lives: the dance floor was packed all night. It was just such an amazing feeling, marrying my Husband, and celebrating with all our loved ones. Our night was completed of course, with a surprise firework display and a sparkler sendoff, making it the #1 July 4th party ever in our books!
