Do you know around how much you are looking to spend? Bands really vary in price so having an idea of how much you want to spend would be helpful.

im using Paris- they are part of sound check entertainment....they are amazing!!! ive seen them at weddings and at a showcase- i cannot believe how much they sound liek the real artists, the lead singer is amazing!! its a 10 pc. band and they also sing in italian which was a plus for me....i didnt shop around bc i knew i wanted them but im guessing the price would be $8,000-$10,000???...but im sure u can probably find a great band for less as well, but sorry I dont know of any!!!!

Bands can range from a couple thousand to over 10,000. Thats why I was asking. Also, the more money you spend the more people you can have in the band and it will sound better.

We liked code bleu, times square orchestra, and the projekt. I believe they are all between 6000-7500 depending on how many pieces you get, and whether or not you need an extra hour.Didn't see paris but they are through the same company as the projekt and heard great things

Re: Any recommendations for bands? prices also please
Definitely check out heart and soul...they are REALLY GOOD!!!...I honestly didn't like bands, but maybe its just the bands i saw at the weddings i went to so i wanted a Dj plus i personally like hearing the original songs, and i can't picture a band playing sean paul or any hip hop songs lol. But anyways alot of bands now are great. I saw heart and soul at a showcase, and i was actually outside the room they were performing in and they were singing a pussycat dolls song and then nelly furtado 'say it right' i could hear it from outside and i honestly thought it was the original songs and that it was a dj showcase. Then i walked in and was extremely surprised. They even did MJ later and did a great job. Alot of energy, put on a great show and they can sound just like alot of the original songs.Sorry don't know the price though

Yes, saw Heart and Soul but they were already booked for my date so forgot about them. One girl in particular from Heart and Soul had an amazing voice!

We booked Times Square Orchestra!!! We heard them once at a showcase and loved them. We had also heard Code Bleu, Heart and Soul, and New York Orchestra. I would suggest going to a few band showcases and starting there.

Re: Any recommendations for bands? prices also please
The band I booked is really good. I heard them at a friends wedding and I got engaged the day after and asked her for their number! They are located in Rockland County but they are going to Suffolk for my wedding so I'm sure its not a problem. If you want more info let me know. I loved them and they sing in 16 different languages which sold us because we needed an Italian one.

We're using The Projekt - they're awesome! They are part of Sound Check Entertainment (the same company Paris is from). They are great singers and entertainers. I would say they range anywhere from $6500 to $7000.

Re: Any recommendations for bands? prices also please
Any of the Franlin Wayne bands are great, but they were out of our range (all of them were between 7-8k if we booked ceremony and CH music with them
). We booked the Mystic, partially b/c they're not strictly a wedding band. (6k with ceremony and CH music)

We booked Skyline Orchestra They were around $6400 plus you have to feed 9 extra people.so most halls offer vendors meals at half price, but definately figure feeding all the band members as part of your cost
