Just checking up on my fellow 04 Brides, wanting to see if any of us have done anything new and also just to say hi.

New things:
Brought my BMs each a BM hankie and a little BM book
Going to order 'Ring for a Kiss' bells
Found the dress that I want but I just need to go into the store and look at it

That is what has been going on with me.

Nothing new really here...I have 556 days left. So far I have the following things done:

Church
Hall
Band

It feels to early to start booking anything else. Our E-Party is in February, so after that I am going to start looking for my dress. The next big thing on our list is house hunting!! We're going to start after the holidays.

My FH is not trying to do anything right now. We are still trying to decide on a date. At first it was June but now we are looking at September. So we'll see. I asked him to make a list of the things he wanted at the wedding and he said he didn't want anything but 2 days before he was saying how I was making all the plans with my mom. Anyway we have to work this stuff out. We'll get it together. I'm trying to do as he says and enjoy the engagement but it's had cause I have all these things running through my head I know we need to do.

Don't stress out alford, you should enjoy the engagement. We are trying to do that but we get stressed out anyway from family mainly. You'll get stuff done!

I'm trying not to stress I really am. I'll just wait till after the holiday's to really get on him. But I know that means we are going to have to pay the higher prices after the new year. But oh well. Thanks for the help Jess!

I'm really not so sure about the higher price stuff. You know, only the photographers and a few reception halls gave me that line. I almost think it is a ploy to get us to book with them ASAP. But, that's just been my experience, other girls may know different. I think that if you start looking in January you should be ok, especially if you are planning on September.

Jewelry for wedding day: I have no idea. Probably a necklace, my ring, and maybe a bracelet. I dont know. I dont want to wear too much

My friend wore a whte gold necklace with CZ's that looked so much like real diamonds. It was a princess cut channel setting with them going all the way around. It looked beautiful. I am going to get something like that...then maybe a matching bracelete

I'm wearing my mom's pearl earings that she wore on her wedding day, and possibly her old antique gold watch which I would have to fix. As for other stuff, I guess it depends on what kind of dress I get!

So it looks like after Kidlibny I am next to follow? The thought makes me nervous... I will be a wreck that morning. I see it already. I was a mess when my sister graduated from college, I can only imagine the wedding day!

Let's see jewelry... Sirev said I can use what she wore for her wedding. Its a swarovski set with the choker, earrings and bracelet. Have to see how it looks with the gown I will get.

As far as jewelery, I have no idea yet. Fh has said that he wants to ask my Dad to make me a diamond necklace and earrings as a wedding present so that I can wear it on our wedding day.

alfordk9: I felt the exact same way! Everyone was saying to take your time, relax and enjoy the engagement and all these things were running through my head. I was making myself nuts! That's just how I am. I hate waiting till last minute. I like to get things done ASAP! But I tried to take everyone's advice and thigs just started falling into place. So don't worry, everything will fall into place for you too. Good Luck with everything!

I have nothing new to report either. We're going to start looking for Djs after the holidays.

Marcela - If you're looking for a really good dj who plays all types of music (including Greek) I can reccommend the DJ that is playing at my e-party. Let me know and I will forum mail you the details.
