New things: Brought my BMs each a BM hankie and a little BM book Going to order 'Ring for a Kiss' bells Found the dress that I want but I just need to go into the store and look at it

I've been looking at cakes just to get some ideas...Here are some of them that I found...
I'm looking for a cake design for my e-party cake. Instead of a regular sheet cake, I would like a heart shaped cake - I have a meeting with the caterer on Mon. and I need to bring in a pic of a cake. I'm think of something like this...
That's very cool! So different. We had a sheet cake for our e-party and the people at the hall smudged it. So it said 'lations Marcela and Peter'!! I was so ****ed. I was more upset because we couldn't take a pic of it!

When are you gals planning an e-party for? I got engaged this past November, the wedding is not until Sept. 04. I would like to have an e-party in June 03, when the weather is warm. Do you think the timing sounds appropriate? I just feel weird waiting so long after the actual engagement, it seems like at that point it is just an excuse to get gifts more so than a celebration. Or am I being silly and paranoid?

Even - We got engaged in July and are having our e-party in February. I really wanted to have it in Sept., but I was student teaching this past semester and I felt it would have been to hectic. So, we decided to have it around Valentine's Day.
Edited to say: I don't think you are being silly or paranoid - It takes time to plan this stuff!!

Hey girls! How is everyone? I need advice, please. My cousin just got engaged and is planning a wedding for nov. '03. While I am very happy for her, I am a little bothered that she is getting married before me. I think I am jealous, too. Am I being selfish? I know its wrong to expect her to wait, but for some reason it bothers me. Would anyone else feel this way, or am I just a selfish *****? Thanks for listening!

Lauren: NO!! You are not selfish. I have three friends that got engaged after us and are getting married way before us. Although I am VERY happy for them, when I first found out I was a bit jealous and I think my FH was more jealous than I was. LOL! Although I did feel a little sad that our wedding is so far away, I know that we are making the right decision. My dream was always to get my law degree, pass the bar and then get married. This is exactly what I'm doing. Law school and the bar exam are extremely stressful and I don't want to start off a marriage with such a high level of stress. Plus, we get to save more money, have time to enjoy our engagement, have time to pick our vendors, etc...
So when you feel sad or get a little jealous, just think of the reasons why you are waiting.

I can understand the feeling of envy because she is engaged after you and will be married before you, I feel that way too when I hear of brides who just got engaged and will have 03 weddings, meanwhile I have to wait all the way to 04, BUT it would be absolutely unreasonable to expect her to wait until after your wedding. Just because you chose to wait until 04 doesn't mean everyone you know has to do the same. You just have to **** it up and get over it. I bet in a few days, once it has settled in your mind, you will totally be over it. Besides, you can learn from the mistakes she makes at her wedding!

I think my friend may get engaged pretty soon, and chances are she will get married before me too! It is understandable to be jealous, but you know what, this date is good for us, so I'm not going to get too stressed over it and I would be very happy for my friend too (hopefully she's getting engaged soon!)

We have FINALLY decided where the eparty will be. At Coral House!! I am so relieved with this. We are flexible with the date so the latest we can book is better.
How would everyon feel about going to a party on Good Friday? We can get the same rate for that evening as March Fridays.

I have been to parties on Good Friday. It was fine with me except that I did not eat meat. My pastor had told me that I could since it was a celebration but I decided not to.
