Hey ladies! Just a thought, but I think it would be nice if we had our own get together. What do you all think? It doesn't have to be with LI Weddings, maybe just us. Just an idea.

tracy: my college (Adelphi) is about 5 minutes from Witches brew. We would be in there all the time and i didnt care that I didnt fit. I used to get i think it was called snowflake. it was vanilla with marshmellow. i love that place.

If you go during the day the crowd is VERY different- mostly nursing students and other ladies out for coffee. At night the crowd really changes - but I don't think it has changed at all in years - it was always different crowds day vs night. They have those really good ice slushes with hazelnut syrup as well as excellent coffee drinks - you can't go wrong with most of the drinks there

are we bringing our FH?...I think that would be different...
I may have to...I pick him up after work...I would never make it to bring him home then meet you guys in LI...
I could be fun to see them all talk about how obsessed we are...LOL

Princess-I went to Mepham and graduated in '98. Where did you go and what year did you graduate?

I vote for girls only at the GTG. I am ok with wherever, just not the city.

Lisa-I can make calls for you if you need me to, just let me know. Also, anything else that needs to be done, let me know.

I second it for girls only, I don't think FH would be comfortable sitting with a bunch of girls who know more about the wedding plans than he does...

I will not be able to attend the 2-21 gathering , I will be away on a cruise with Fh on the new Norweign Dawn. , but hope to go to the next one. I wish I knew about the mini gathering from the Levittown girls, I live about 10 minutes (If even) away. Where did you meet for that one?
Yes,I went to Mepham HS class of 1989 and I knew a few people with the name Wallis. FM Mail me with the names of all that went to Mepham ! Maybe I knew them in HS.

Some places in Queens:

1. Tequilla Sunrise on Bell Blvd. in Bayside-food is a little pricey but the drinks are awesome!! They have tri colored margaritas, daiquiris and sangria. Their drinks are about $7 each and beer is less. But I think we'd have to stay at the bar if we're not eating and it can get pretty crowded, so we'd have to get there early (around 7:30-8pm I think is fine).

2. Oasis or Flamingo Cafe (Both on Northern Blvd in Bayside area). They don't really have food, but they have yummy deserts, drinks and coffee/tea.

3. Giordino's (Sp?) in Little Neck (off of Northern Blvd-about 10 mins from Bayside). This is a yummy Italian Restaurant and their pasta dishes are pretty cheap (about $7-10). Meat dishes and specials are more.

Wanda, no not yet. I have been gathering names of places and on Friday I am going to call around and see if they are available and how much it will cost us. Are you available on 2/28?
