I am starting a new list for Fox Hollow Brides. I saw a list that the '04 Brides put together. I will start it. If you would like to add your name....copy and paste the list with your date added. Have Fun!

Re: 05 Fox Hollow Brides
Some interesting information I thought I'd pass on....make sure before you book rooms at the inn, you know for sure that most will be filled. You are responsible for paying half of whatever isn't filled. Say you block 30 rooms at the inn and no one books a room there from your party. You then must pay for 15 rooms regardless. It's just their rules, and the lady I spoke with said many brides overlook this when they book. Just an FYI, would't want to see anyone having to pay for something they don't even use! She said a good number to set aside was 15. Hope this wasn't too confusing!

06/17/02: Foxhollowbride0617 CH in Wintergarden and Reception in Briar Fox
07/02/05: MelaniB 1:00PM Ceremony & Reception
8/5/05: Suezboss 6:45 Ceremony & Reception
9/4/05: Corduroy94 6pm Ceremony & Reception to Follow (Garden Terrace)
The briar Fox room supposedly can fit up to 240 people. That is without dancing. The Banquet Manager says they can fit up to about 190 comfortably. We are inviting like 190 so we expect to get about 150-160. We have to guarantee 130 also.

Re: 05 Fox Hollow Brides
I am in Briar Fox room, and I am having about 120. I feel that it will be nice in there- but i am doing ROUND tables, instead of the long tables. Because I am having so few people, I felt the oblong (rectangle) tables would make it look too small. the rounds will spread it out a bit. The larger parties will look very nice with the other tables!
AREN'T you guys sooooooo excited!!!!! YEAH!
Oh- and yes, for the FHI, I am only reserving 10 rooms because we dont' have that many people traveling out of state that need places to stay.

Do you know how many people you can fit at round tables? I thought it was 150, but am nervous.
Thanks!

I dont' know how many it holds?? I think each round holds 12?. We were there on Friday and it was set up with 4 rounds, and one long at the end (i'm assuming for the bridal party?)... but there would have been room for more rounds... at least 7 on each side...
OH- and it looked SOOOOOOOOOo nice!!! very different from when we booked it in Feburary! I'm so excited! it's now less than 1 year away for me!

2/26/05: BethGail Ceremony and reception 7pm, both in Garden Terrace...i cant remember the name of the room my CH is in...
6/17/02: Foxhollowbride0617 CH in Wintergarden and Reception in Briar Fox
01/07/06: Uloveit22 7pm Cocktail Hour in Briar Fx and Reception in Garden Terrace
I am adding myself to the '05 list because I am only 7 days into 06! I figure I can be an honorary '05er!!
I am having my cocktail hour in the Briar Fox and my reception in the Garden Terrace (the big room). For a Saturday night I had to gaurantee 225 so I will be inviting abot 260...I don't want many more than 225 anyway!
I don't think the Briar Fox looks/feels like a basement at all - I actually love that it is a little adrker and everything is dark wood and burgundy!
You guys are startig to make me nervous abou booking the Inn. I have no idea how many rooms to reserve...I don't want to shoot too low and guests not be able to reserve but we also CANNOT afford to pay for rooms that aren't booked. Now I am mangled!!
Well good luck to all!

I am concerned about blocking rooms at the inn too. I am going to block 5 for now, then hopefully add to my block soon as the rooms fill up. Melani

Re: 05 Fox Hollow Brides
Yeah, I blocked 10 (I think they told us in Feb. that the minimum amount to block FOR A DISCOUNT is 10). We are responsible for 5 of them.. but we have Ours, my mom/step-day, his mom/dad, our BM's , and maybe my dad, his BM/GM etc.. so I'm pretty 'hopful' that that last one will book! (and if anyone else wants to get one, they'll have 5 more availbale.
ALSO- did you guys check out the Best Wester Woodbury Inn, just East (less than 1/2 mile) of FH? They were btw 130-160 a night and discount for AAA, AARP etc... so another affordable place for guests to stay (i'm inclosing BOTH in our OOT invites)

Re: 05 Fox Hollow Brides
hotels are my moms job :) we booked a block at the FH and went to do it also at the best westerm. when my mom spoke to someone there, they said that the executive suites was nicer (i think it is the same owner etc and right next door or something) and i think we are getting them at a block discount rate of 119.

Re: 05 Fox Hollow Brides
PS- i am putting hotel info in ALL of the invites because some people, even if they are local dont want to drive home after and would rather stay in the hotel
