06 chateau la mer thread

Figured I'd copy off of the riviera girls since we have a bunch of CLM girls and there has been sooooo many CLM posts and questions and stuff lately.

Post if you hall is CLM and I will start a list for us.

Also any questions, ideas or concerns you may have?

What room and what BM have you been dealing with?

K..

I booked the upstairs room because we will be having a smaller sized wedding. I am hoping it will be ok and not to crowded for like 150 people, we tried to move downstairs, but Lou said that it had been booked already.

We have dealt with both Lou and Nick. Lou originally did our contract, but since then we have spoken to Nick a bunch of times. They are both so great and helpful.

My concern is that since we booked the upstairs room, the elevator NEEDS to be done by my wedding. If my poor gram has to walk up al those stairs I dont knwo what we will do.

I also have thought about centerpieces.. I plan on making it a very antique classic theme with candalabras and rose petals. Since the tables are long I am looking for alower horizontal candelabra and will post when I find something.

I'm in the Baview Room (top room). I'm dealing with Nick. I booked my photo & video (patken), DJ (Vinnie from High Voltage), about to book my Officiant, looking for dresses next. Then after that, I'll look at BM dresses and then florist. Yippee!

We're you at a tasting or just visiting. We have a payment due so we're going to drop it off on Sunday. We love making excuses to see CLM. hehe

i have a lot of upstate people (FH hometown) and wanted to look for the best hotel..

Check out the CLM thread on the '05 board. There's been some discussion about hotels and those girls have done the reasearch already and can help. I haven't gotten to that part yet.

We called about this the other day and they said they work with the holiday inn express in hauppauge.... the website is listed under affiliates at CLM's site. They offer a free shuttle to and from, howevere it is like 25 minutes from the hall. I know some people are using the fourpoints (?) or something in plainveiw

I am using Vinny from High Voltage-I did not meet with the house vendor. Sorry I can not be of more help but, if you need info about High Voltage I will be more than happy to help
