I went today and it was not looking good The place was dirty all over, the room was not even close to being done, my father was not helping me feel better and the owner pissed me off so it was a HORRIBLE visit to the Riviera with less than a week to go

Has anyone been there recently? Is the extension done? How does it look?

Michelle & Gina: Thanks so much for your response on the BHB Board.

I'm planning to have pink and brown as the wedding color, with MOH/BMs wearing darker brown (chocolate brown).

So, I know this may sound stupid, but do you think with the Riviera's interior, that they (MOH/BMs) would blend in too much with the WOOD ?????? 'Cause that's probably not good, eh?

Also, any already-married Riviera bride, especially those who had their wedding in the evening, how are your pictures?? TOO DARK?? I am so worried.

Thanks a bunch

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread

So I did my menu on 5/30/06 and the cocktail hour room is beautiful. They also changed the Chairs and tables on the outdoor patio to Roared Iron it is like a dark copper color with tan cloth umbrellas sooo nice!! they also added landscaping and a small statue on the Pier to the left not by the gazebo but on the other side it is great now there is more places for pictures to be taken. I am so happy with the addition and other touches they added. I don't think anyone will be disappointed!

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread

I went to a Riviera wedding last summer and chcoloate fountain was included (or so I heard). Is it still included, 'cause I was told it's not when I asked about 07?

Thanks !

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread

As far as the choc fountain, I think it is somethng that they like to add in when you sign as an extra added bonus. So I didn't mention it and they added it in along with the after dinner cordials and some other stuff (and they did the same for another 07 bride I know). Not sure if that helps...

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread

My wedding is only two weeks away and we are working on the seating we have 118 guests would any one not put the tables on the dance for. We are thinking about doing it but I am unsure. Help I need opinons Robert Jay said it will make the place more Intimate. By having three tables on the dance floor

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread

I had a smaller wedding and it was not needed but if you are thinking or you HAVE to put tables on the dance floor can you put immediate family or the bridal party only on the dance floor? Since some guest would find it annoying since they sit all night and I would hate to put people back in the corner where they can't see. JMHO
Good Luck and let us know what you are going to do..Have a wonderful wedding the place was beautiful for the day of my wedding. I had the best day of my life!

I am getting nervous because we're expecting at least 150

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread

I think there's pleanty of room for 150...esp. w/ the new cocktail room. I'll probably be having 130-140.

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread

I am having 175 and I have to put tables on the dance floor. It is fine to do that-- my sister did it and it did make it more intimate.

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread

Our wedding was on Sunday afternoon and it was the most beautiful day of our new life together. Everything from the Ceremony at the Riviera to the food was amazing I will be working on my review and gathering pics. I just wanted to let the Riviera brides know you do not have one thing to worry about!! Just a side note we used 3 tables on the dance floor and it made it so much more initimate. I was afraid to use them but I suggest you look into it. Good luck with all of your planning and let me know if you have any questions.
