Hi girls. I so torn. Im getting married in 12 days and now Im having second thoughts about doing my own makeup. Any advice/suggestions/comments???? Im only having 2nd thoughts now b/c of the heat and Im afraid Im going to look red Summer brides especially, can you give me any advice? TIA

I was going to do my own make-up, then changed my mind when I went to get my eyebrows done the weekend before my wedding. I'm glad I had it done. One less thing to worry about. And I didn't even get married in the heat. If you're anywhere near Holtsville, I'd like to recommend All For You Day Spa! Does the place you are getting your hair done do make-up as well?

I too was going to do my own makeup and then panicked like a month before the big day. Since I was having a hair person come to do everyone's hair, I couldn't really go somewhere to have it done, and a lot of the popular vendors were of course booked. But I scheduled a trial with Erica from Pod Spa - she was new to the site at the time, and she was great. She was really patient with me during the trial, and on the day of, she did my make up and the my MIL's - I've never gotten so many compliments. Plus she's really calm - a good person to have around on such a hectic day. I'd highly recommend seeing if she might still be available.

well Im getting married in July and Im not worried at my make up..(I am DIY my own)...I plan on using MAC cosmetics..they are fantastic!! if you decide to follow through in doing ur own make up just bring some blotting sheets...

This is one thing I did not want to do. My own make-up and hair.
You will have enough to worry about without rushing to do your own make-up.
Let yourself be pampered on the wedding day.
With everything going on, you will be glad you did not add 'another task' to the list.
