07 Ladies post YOUR cake!

I just realized that though our year is over, we are as much an inspiration to the ladies who come after us, as were the ladies who came before 07, to us.

My SIL is trying to decide on a cake style which made me realize we should post things from our weddings others might use like cakes for instance, in a thread thats easily searchable and accessible. yes we have reviews but sometimes hard to find specific things in there. cake was a HUGE pain in my tush because I didnt know the kinds of filling that were 'normal.'

I'll start cause we loved our cake-still get compliments on what it looked and tasted like.

Our cake was napolean filling and vanilla cake. Should have had bluberries and strawberries in it too but they messed up. So k cause no one noticed but us Whew!

Black Forest and choc cake with whipped cream
It was supposed to have a monogram, but they forgot! Oh well, it was delish!!!

Cake: Bottom tier- light genoise (sponge cake)
Filling: Chocolate butter cream

Cake: Top tier- dark chocolate
Filling: Vanilla butter cream,
Flavored with White Chocolate Godiva liquor

and as good as it looked it tasted as great!

Yellow cake with raspberry white chocolate filling. That ribbon is burgundy taffeta that looks black because of the oils in the icing. Yes, I did ask the baker if the ribbon I picked was ok, no, she never told me that would happen.

If you want your new husband looking less disheveled in the cake cutting pic, do a mock cut ahead of the reception. And we have no idea why his mother is lurking in the background instead of being in front with the other guests.

Just realized I never added my cake- probably because it wasn't exactly how I wanted it. It should have been ALL navy ribbon- not baseballs. I wanted classy, not cute or theme-y! UGH. I do love the Yankee Stadium facade lacing on the cake though.

Ours came with the cottage....Carrot cake with cream filling!!!! It was awesome!!! Pic is in my REVIEW. Pic is too large for here

It didn't exactly look the way I wanted it to, but it was made of rainbow cookie so it was alright by me!

This is my dream cake...I love rainbow cookies!!! YUM!

The first picture is how I wanted my cake to be. I even gave them a picture. The second is how it turned out. At least they got the flavors right.

Mine was from Woodbury Country Club and it was a vanilla cake with strawberry mouse. We had the Viennese hour so I didn't want to go outside for a wedding cake which we were originally going to do but our cake was really good! These are non-pro pics:
