Me: A few things: Finishing up school, work for an architectural woodworker where i pay his bills, run the office, etc. I have my real estate license and am starting to do that part time as well.

He: Works for his families business (Commack Hand Car Wash) to make money and just went back for his Master's Degree a few months ago. He is looking to become a Pharmacist. He should be all finished right around our wedding date and then he'll get a job as a Pharmacist and pursue his Doctorate while working.

Met: Sometime in 2002 the first time briefly where we were introduced by my now ex-BF. FH and him were friends when they were little and my ex and I came into FH's car wash!! Fast forward to December 11, 2004 which was our first date after meeting up again on Match.com. We had no idea who each other were until FH mentioned the Car Wash and then I put it together!

Ring: A round brilliant cut center stone that is flanked by a pear shaped/tear-drop diamond on each side. It is set in a platinum band. I can't believe how long he saved for, it's ridiculous!! It took him about 7 months of saving EVERY day for it... luckily, we knew a family jeweler who went into the Diamond District for us and got us a quality stone at a great price from a reliable source!! We were thrilled over-all with the whole experience... FH picked the style and setting out all by himself. He just knew I liked round stones, that was it.

Proposal: June 23, 2005... after all that saving (he started literally from RIGHT after our first date since we knew right away!!) I knew he was making payments on it but he finished sooner than I thought to catch me off guard. He took me to my church in the courtyard/gardens of the church and got down on one knee!! (after fiddling with the box for an eternity). Then we immediately ran all over the island showing and calling all of our friends/family!! It was one of the best days, so far, we have had!!!

Wedding: Parish of the Holy Cross, RCC and the reception at Flowerfield in Mills Pond (St. James). Sunday September 9, 2007 in the evening.

Honeymoon: California and Hawaii

Ring: Simple but stunning, not what I picked out but I love it!! Round brilliant cut center stone, w/ two flat baggettes, high but not raised! In a platinum 6 prong setting. He wanted the center stone to stand out and it does!

Proposal: August 27th, 2005 - Mario intended to throw me a 21st b-day party, but is not the best at covering his tracks. He found out that I knew, and told me to 'shut up and pretend' that I didn't know, which sort of tipped me off. It definately was an interesting, drunken proposal with a ring 3 sizes to big!
