07'er needs 06'er input

The ceremony is at the RH. For those of you who got married at your RH, what happens after the ceremony? Do you go to the bridal suite or do you have a receiving line? I have no idea what happens after the ceremony when your indoors and in your RH…

although we didnt do this--- ive been to several weddings where they did have a receving line-- and others where they did not-- and were taking pics right away... then mid cocktail hour the brde and groom came in.... HTH

We went right into the bridal suite so I could freshen up and then went right into our CH - our pictures were already taken before. The receiving line would have cut into our time at CH so that's why we chose not to do it.

We got married at the RH and after the ceremony our bridal attendant handed out champagne to us and our BP. Then she rushed us up to the bridal suite so that we could be alone for our first few minutes of being husband and wife, it was nice!!

Then we went back outside to take pics with our families and BP while everyone enjoyed the CH. We didn't do a receiving line, instead we went up to everyone at each table during the reception to say hello and thank them for coming. We had 100 people at our wedding so it really didn't take too long.

We went to the bridal suite after the ceremony. I told my BM that I wanted a few minutes of private time with my husband. The photographers started taking pics of the wedding party and we joined them a few minutes later. We took pics for about 30 minutes and then caught the end of the cocktail hour.

We didn't do a receiving line...we went right into pics and it took the entire CH. I have seen it both ways though.

It depends on your catering hall, but most places I have seen usually take you right away to either the bridal suite or to take pictures while they clear out the chapel and get everyone into the CH.

we got married at the RH - we did not have a recieving line. After the ceremony, all the guests walked over to the CH and we took a few more pics. Then we joined our guests at CH.

We went to the bridal suite for some alone time...had some champagne. Then immediately took pictures b/c we did not see each other before the ceremony.

We didn't do a receiving line. The Maitre D' and bridal attendant escorted us to our bridal suite where we shared some champagne and had some alone time. Then we called the best man, the MOH and the officiant and filled out the rest of the info on the marriage license.

We took pics before the ceremony, so we did not have to worry about that. We greeted our guests at the cocktail hour and reception

LITTLE TIP: have the envelope - with a stamp - ready for your officiant to mail out. That way your marriage certificate will probably be in your mailbox by the time you get back from your HM
