I need a hair and makeup person THAT DOES NOT CHARGE TONS OF $$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, Sorry about the yelling but I am just freaking out. I have been writing to people and calling people and everyone is charging through the nose. Some of you say it's worth it but COME ON! It's hair for heaven's sake - unless you are lacing it with pure gold it should not cost me more than $125 the day of! The same goes for make-up!
What makes this even worse is that the wedding is on a Sunday - most salons are CLOSED on Sundays **%&^$&*#^&^$#&!!!!!!!!
OK, sorry, i'm stressing. I've been so good up to this point. I live in CT so that makes it harder. I will be down on the island this weekend.
Do any of you have any suggestions or advice? Please help!

Mya from Cosmetic Artistry does both hair and makeup. It was $65 for everybody and $100 for the bride. Def call her, she is on here and does amazing work!!!

Agreed! She did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and everyone loved her work!

I did my own makeup. It came out great, but you have to be patient and know what you are doing.

give denise and jen a call at hairspray salon in nesconset (they are LIW vendors). they come to you and they do a great job for less than $100. i loved my hair and makeup from them and i loved that i didnt have to pay a fortune for it! good luck!

I used Jenn the Hair Genie & Oksana - loved them both and I thought they were reasonable. My whole BP used them also

i third mya! she did my hair for my day (i wanted her to do both but i had too many girls for her to do everybody's hair AND makeup...so i booked oksana for makeup)...pics are in my album. we got soooooooooooo many compliments on how great everyone's hair looked! her prices are super reasonable and she's the sweetest person ever!
