ok so if you dont know what im talking about ill sum it up the best i can...
I think it would be so much fun for one of our GTG in oct, nov, or dec. (whatevers best) to make our GTG where we rent out a room at a resturant and make it a bridal shower for the 08 girls!! kinda make it a 'secret bride' (instead of secret santa) you each submit your name and one place your registured to me or whoever wants to be in charge.. then each bride will have a bride to buy for. then at the shower we all swop gifts. play silly games.. have decorations, favors the works i think it would be so much fun.. and if we do a brunch/ or lunch it would be much cheaper..we could prob pull it togther for 30-40pp
im open to suggestions for EVERYTHING... including resturants.
but the point of the poll is just to see how many people would be DEF interested in participating.

oh i have an idea....it's called white elephant grab bag i think??? everyone brings a gift for a certain price limit....then everyone pics a number. the person with number one pics the first gift, unwraps it....then...the person with number 2 can either pic a new gift from the pile to unwrap....oooorrr...take person number 1's gift. if they take person number 1's gift then person number one picks a new one from the pile. it's kinda fun! i have done this for the holidays before, and it eliminates the confusion in case someone dosnt show up. as long as u show up with a gift then you get to play! i dont know if i explained great let me know if you have question about it.
basically....the last person can take anyone's gift....but the first person can't really take anyones gift. but it's fun watching people open the gifts not knowing what they are! and gives the opportunity to trade rather then just a regular grab bag.

I honestly think the majority of us are on LI but we can always take another poll. But also I think places to rent out will be alot cheaper on LI as opposed to the city.
this website speaks of using tacky or 'gag gifts'...it dosnt need to be done like that though (although it is funny)....it can be done with regular gifts. that is how i have done it. just to not confuse anyone

if we just rent out a hall my dad is an italian caterer and im sure I can order food and do it like buffet style
and do it either for nothing or a really cheap cheap price...id have to talk to my dad

I'd definately say count me in, but if it's in October i'll be stuck in Pittsburgh for my pharmacy hospital internship... I won't be back on LI till November

ugh - sorry, my school does that at every xmas party and i can't stand it!! especially when you actually Like your grab bag and someone snatches it
If you FM your info to whomever is going to coordinate, I think Megan's idea of including the stores where you are registered would be best
