ok so if you dont know what im talking about ill sum it up the best i can...
I think it would be so much fun for one of our GTG in oct, nov, or dec. (whatevers best) to make our GTG where we rent out a room at a resturant and make it a bridal shower for the 08 girls!! kinda make it a 'secret bride' (instead of secret santa) you each submit your name and one place your registured to me or whoever wants to be in charge.. then each bride will have a bride to buy for. then at the shower we all swop gifts. play silly games.. have decorations, favors the works i think it would be so much fun.. and if we do a brunch/ or lunch it would be much cheaper..we could prob pull it togther for 30-40pp
im open to suggestions for EVERYTHING... including resturants.
but the point of the poll is just to see how many people would be DEF interested in participating.

i love the idea! but i have a suggestion. how about instead of buying for a certain person we all just buy something that we think everyone will need. then durring the night maybe after dinner we can all pick a bag 1 at a time and you get whatever is in that bag! this way if someone buys you something you dont like you (and them) dont have to feel bad becasue YOU picked the bag lol!!
well, for the secret santa there was a $$ limit i think if everyone writes where they are registered and there is a $$ limit, at least you know you are getting them something they want
i totally agree.. its like your going to that certin persons shower... i want it to be so that everyone gets somethign they want!!

I think that september or october is great! I was thinking that the secret 'Bride' is fun! That way we get something we reallly wanted. I also love the central long island idea of @ massapequa! Meghan, this is a great idea and I am in!! I think it will be a blast!

we an even do like a restaurant or diner and just let them know in advance and they can set up tables in the back for ya. we did that for my friends baby shower
this website speaks of using tacky or 'gag gifts'...it dosnt need to be done like that though (although it is funny)....it can be done with regular gifts. that is how i have done it. just to not confuse anyone
ugh - sorry, my school does that at every xmas party and i can't stand it!! especially when you actually Like your grab bag and someone snatches it
If you FM your info to whomever is going to coordinate, I think Megan's idea of including the stores where you are registered would be best
I TOTALLY AGREE.. one time I was at this Christmas party at my friends house and I got this GREAT GREAT gift... it was like a really nice set of 8 margarita glasses.. with tequila.. and the rim salt and a recipe book of all drinks and then some lady picked my gift and i got stuck with a happy holidays sign i hate that game!
I love buying for people off of the registry..

I think it wouls be less for us to have it at a restaurant...
After we decided we're have our party (to ask the bp) @ FIL's we realized that it is almost 2x as much if it would have been out

let me suggest a restaraunt... It's in Bay Shore.... Milk & Sugar (LINK). It's so cute and they will close down the whole restaraunt just for one party... it's cozy and cute and very girlie.... they do showers there all the time.... and I don't think it's too expensive.
