It totally depends on what you want. I've seen brides spend anywhere from $2.00 up to $12.00 per invite. I'd suggest going online and ordering some samples to see what you like.

there's a huge range.... most brides on this site spend between $4-10, I believe... If you want something ornate, custom, or a labor-intensive process like letterpress, expect to pay well above $10/invitation... our letterpress invites were $14 each, but letterpress can easily be $20 or $25 each...
with custom designs/letterpress, it frequently costs less per invitation as you purchase more.... since set-up is a good deal of the labor...
(remember, you're sending one per couple, so 125 is enough for a 200+ person wedding... but request 15-20% extra envelopes for calligraphy errors, and get at least an extra 10% invitations, just in case.....

Mine are $6 an invite, but could've been $4 if I didn't need a reception card and directions card. They're from White Aisle.
