08 RP- Disney Restaurant Question

.Okay, so I just called the Disney reservation desk for restaurants, and the only time they have to eat at Cinderalla's Castle for dinner is at 4:10. Thats a bit early. We got the dining plan, so that uses up 2 out of our 5 sit down meals. My question is, is it really worth it? The pictures I found online of the place don't look really nice. FH and I are trying to find nice/romantic places to eat.

So far we've booked, Wolfgangs downtown (Wofgang is FH's idol, so that was a given.. ) and the coral reef at Epcot, because i told FH he had to plan a date, and he doesnt really know disney but he said the only thing he knows of disney was seeing that restaurant on Full House and it looked nice

I tried for Le Cellier, but thats ALL booked for the days we are there... What other nice restaurants do you recommend?

I know I want to do some of the fun ones too, like Prime Time Cafe, but thats not expensive, so we dont mind paying for that for lunch.

Okay this started out as one question and turned into many and i started rambling so i'm going to stop now.. Thanks for all those who beared with me here

I absolutley LOVE eating in Cinderellas castle - but im also a cinderella fanatic! It's not really exclusive - there are ALOT of children around - so i dont know if it would be your 'ideal romantic dinner' but it is wonderful. Another great place to eat is the steakhouse in the Contemporary hotel. The food is AMAZING - it's a little more low-key and it only counts as one table service. I highly reccomend it!

Thanks so much. This is FH's first time in Disney and he loves food so we wanted to do the really nice places. I've been there many times, but not recently and always with my family and never did the nice restaurants. I'm sure i'll take you up on your offer and FM you!

DH and I were in Disney in October. We're big foodies and we had some trouble getting reservations too - we didn't expect so many of the big places like Victoria and Albert's, etc. would be booked so far ahead of time. Anyway, the Disney reservations person recommended Artist's Point at the Wilderness Lodge so we decided to give it a try -- it was our favorite meal there! - the food and the service there were really great. Flying Fish at the Boardwalk and the Brown Derby at MGM are also good nice dinner places. DH and I love the Sci-Fi Cafe for lunch, and the many countries in Epcot too.

If you are planning on heading to the Animal Kingdom at all, Both restaurants at the Lodge are awesome! Boma is a casual buffet (great breakfast too) and Jiko is an amazing place to go to for a nice dinner!

went last year too and couldn't get into cinderellas castle, too booked.. they only had that 4pm slot.. which we didn't want

we did go to the hoop dee doo revue.. and no it's not romantic nor is it lowkey.. but the food is amazing the show is hilarious and it was SOOO much fun for my daughter and i.

and we went to the crystal palace for lunch.. we were looking for characters..

i don't think any of the places have bad food so u'll be fine!!

enjoy!

the contemporary has a great restaurant at the top, over looking the magic kingdom. i've been there before, but that was 10 yrs ago and i don't remember the name. but i remember it was delicious. another fantastic place is spoodles, on the boardwalk. we eat there EVERY time we go to disney. it's slightly on the casual side, but the food is some of the best i've had in disney. they shouldn't be booked this far out either. they have a great tapas selection.

and yes, i'm 99% sure the crystal palace is with winnie the pooh and characters, but i've only been there for breakfast. it was great fun! good luck getting reservations!! my MOH is getting married in disney next may. . .it never even occurred to me that i'd need to start making dinner reservations for FH and I now!!!

Victoria and Alberts is the most romantic restaurant in Disney World at the Grand Floridian. No children and its dressy. The food is phenominal there!

I know of that place, but its not on the dining plan and its expensive. So we are trying to eat dinner where we have the plan so we dont spend any extra money. Thanks!

I don't think that Cindarella's castle is worth it. I've eaten there before and, as I remember, the food was average at the best. The service was not great and the resteraunt was crowded with a ton of kids. Its a great concept that didn't execute well. I love the coral reef resteraunt- that is really fun. You should request a table by the tank, its worth the wait. There is a resteraunt in France in Epcot that is really good, I'm not sure what its called but its the smaller fancier resteraunt. Prime time cafe is tons of fun- def a great place to go to lunch. I love Disney and have been there a bunch, so let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks. I already made reservations at the Coral Reef.. should I call again and request the tank, or is that something i do the day of? I've been to disney a bunch of times too, but always with my family so we never did the nicer restaurants. But we do Prime Time every time. Thats my favorite place.. so much fun!

YES!! they come to each table so u don't have to try to chase them around, cause they come to you. and then they do a parade (but that's with the kids..lol) the food is phenomenal (for a buffet!)
