'08'er with HM questions

Hi ladies....I was wondering if you would be so kind to post where you went on your HM and how you thought it was. The only thing I have left to do is book a HM and I've having a hard time choosing. Honesty is great....give me the good, the bad and the ugly! I can take it lol I know other girls on the '08 boards would be grateful as well. I will post a thread in '08 to tell them to come here to check this out. TIA from a very gracious bride-to-be!

My DH and I went to Disney. We loved it. Stayed at the Grand Floridian and went to the Disney parks. We were there for 2 weeks and really enjoyed it!

Would you say it's a good HM place or did you feel there were too many kids around? I've never been to Disney.....

There are alot of kids around but it can be a nice HM place if you stay at a nice resort. Im a Disney freak so Id tell anyone to go there especially if they have never been.

I thought it was a great place for a HM. There was a lot to see and do. Lots of awesome restaurants. We chose it because...DH had never been there, there is lots to do, he is not one to sit on the beach, and we wanted a place that was relatively close to get to since we both hate to fly! Yes there were kids around but I really didn't care about that.

ANd we stayed at the Grand Floridian which is a gorgeous resort and spa....we didn't even have to leave the resort if we didn't want to

We went to Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora! It was great! The Flight was a bit long (14 hours long) but it was well worth it!

if you want info about Tahiti, there is a lot of info on the Honeymoon forum.

Re: '08'er with HM questions

If you want to South Pacific, go to the HM board and find the official board regarding Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc and any questions you may have can be found there. It's like 10 pages long with all kinds of information on resorts people have visited.

I, personally, highly recommend Sandals resorts in the Caribbean. DH and I wanted an area that was a short flight, warm weather and no children. These resorts are all inclusive, including taxes, gratuity, airport transfers, all food and liqour your heart can desire plus more. We went to the Bahamas and loved it. We were there for a week, and there was still so much to do and see!! Not to mention it all very affordable!!!!!!!

We went on a European Cruise for 2 weeks to Italy (Rome, Venice, Sicily, Florence), France (Cannes), Monte Carlo, Croatia (loved it) & Spain (Barcelona) & then we spent a week in Ireland. It was wonderful!

Oh wow, that is a long flight! I don't know if I could last that long lol Was there a lot to do on these islands, or were they really exclusive and for relaxing? Thanks.

Yeh, that's what we are thinking. Our only problem is we hear good and bad about all the islands and are SO confused about where to go!

We looked into a Royal Caribbean 12 day cruise...it seems amazing! The only thing is that we are not sure if we want to go on a trip where we have to be up really early everyday. Also, is the airfare expensive? TIA.

Hawaii is also in the running! I always wanted to go to Fiji for my HM but realize now that that is a REALLY long flight! Isn't it a long flight to Hawaii too? Is it tropicaly-y or desert-y...I heard it's more like a desert. TIA.
