Sorry girls for crashing, but when do you girls think is the right time to start registering? I am getting married in July and I was thinking of going this month or next month. Is that too soon?

it's never too soon!!! people may want to get you engagement gifts- you'd be surprised by the gifts you get early on... go enjoy the experience of registering! Just be sure to continue to update it throughout the year- have fun and good luck! there's a lot of choices

If you are having a shower I would say earlier is better.. but I would wait untill the new year. A lot of companies make new models of items and also discontinue things after the holidays.

Also- if you do register now, make sure you keep checking back each month that your items are available.

I would wait until January. Thats when I registered. I got married july 4th. I also agree many companys make new models.

See I was afraid of things getting discontinued, and I know no one is going to send us a gift since we already had a small e-party. I was also thinking of just registering now bc then people can get us stuff for Christmas too.
Did you see alot of your stuff being discontinued? Im just wondering how often companies do that.

We registered about 14 months prior to the wedding. some people say that is too early because things will get discontinued, but honestly not many things did. I dont think it is too early for you because you can tell people to get you Christmas gifts off the registry. Thats what we did

yea registering you can always do and change. Take your time with it as well, research the appliances you put on there. I did our registry 1 1/2 years earlier and changed it very often leading up to the 8 months mark.

For me not a lot of things were discontinued.. but no longer available in store.. like my POTS!!! I didnt get one of them,, because they had to be ordered from online and I didnt know that. Either did the last minute shoppers who purchased things from my registry the week of the shower

Do it now and just check back. You'll always be adding stuff to it anyway. We did it around our 1 year mark (I needed to get it out of my system lol) but we didn't do a lot. Then I just kept adding more stuff to it. I'm still adding to it! (But that's because I want to get the discount for the completion!)
