Hi!! I am hoping you guys can offer me some advice. I would love to be able to move my wedding up to October 2008... I have not booked anything yet. Do you think it will be an issue to find a banquet hall?? (having around 400+ people, my Big Fat Greek/Italian Wedding)

I would definatley start looking now. A lot of places might be booked for 08 already but definatley try asap

I personally don't think it will be an issue - if you're not set on a specific hall I'm sure you can find something!

I dont think so but you should check and go like now.. We booked our's like in May two weeks after we were engaged hehehe. I have a have to do things now problem hehehe.
Some weekends were free but now its 2 months later so who knows.

def start looking soon bc if you are having 400 guests that will eliminate many halls for you since they can't hold that many.

I would line up the hall and photographer as soon as possible.

i agree with starting right now! i don't think it's too late because i just booked an oct 08 wedding.. but some places were booked for my day.. so if you're willing to compromise your day im sure it'll work out

i would start looking ASAP When we were looking to book October back in Feburary a lot of places were booked for the two weekends we wanted. You'll want to book like...now...b/c 400 guests limits the venues you have to choose from.
Good Luck!! I'm sure you'll be able to find somewhere fantastic. And if not, don't worry, 2009 isnt as far away as it seems.

it can be done, there are girls on here and even not on here that planned a wedding in 6 months, 3 months, just have to work a little harder but not even you still would have over a year, its not bad at all

i booked for october 08 last week and there was some places booked- but a lot still open- but then again i was only looking for 125 guest list. hth

my sister just booked for september and i think there were a few days left. So october should be still a few days open too. Definetly start looking right away cause with 400+ people it will be hard to find a hall that holds that many.

I think if you get on it ASAP you'll be fine.....as said before, if you have your heart set on ONE place, call them just to see if your date is open. Good luck.

It doesn't hurt to try.. You may be able to find something if you are not set on one specific date. 400 is a lot of people and a lot of $ for the RH so I would think they would jump at that.

I don't think it will be a problem. One of my friends booked her entire big fat wedding only 5 months before her big day. i'm having a really big greek wedding too so FM me if you have any questions about large RH's

WOW 400 + thats a lot of people!!!! im sure you will be able to find a plce but the dates and day of the week will be limited. Good luck!!
