SOOOOOoo called my dress place. I told them i want low heels but do not want my dress to be too altered so that there would be a problem
They said that i should get no bigger then a 1 1/2 inch heel. and if i change into flats for reception that is fine!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ladies.. Where are some EXCELLENT places to look for low heal like that, that is sooooooooooooooooo comfy i may not have to change into flats at all?

I am having the same issue. I'm 5'11 and I got the longest length skirt the dress comes in and still have to keep my shoes very low. I've been looking for a low heel shoe but it seems like I can't find anything that I like. So decided to buy pretty much buy the shoes I love and take them to have the heel cut down to the height that works for me. I've seen it done on other shoes and it looks great.
I looked into that but they said the most they could take off my 3 1/2 inch heels would be 1/2 inch and that would still be too high.
i have the same issue; was that just your shoemaker that said it or is that the standard? I have 3.5 inch heels and am hoping they can cut an inch off.

I am having the exact same problem! I got these sneakers that I LOVE for the reception but they have a 1.5' platform so I'm limited to a 1.5' heel for the ceremony, and I haven't been able to find anything I like!
Try Varone's shoes in Sayville. They are having a huge sale and had alot of different styles to choose from. i got alot of things there the other day and posted about it.

my shoes were not that high- they're the low version of the loveknot (called 'lovely'), you can see more info about them in my review, or just google lovely bridal shoe or loveknot and something should come up.

I went to Bridal Shoe Boutique right next to DSW in Carle Place- they had a nice selection and I got about a 1 inch heel in a slingback shoe that they will dye for free if needed. They're also fast if they need to order the shoe and also are reasonably priced too!
Also I heard that Shoe Elegance in Lynbrook is also a great place to go. I also heard that Sandy's Shoes is also a good place as well.
If you look in my non pro pic album there's a pic of DH taking my garter off - you can see the shoes that I wore ALL NIGHT without taking them of - that's how comfy they were.

I am wearing low heels too cuz my FH is 2' taller then me I saved these in my files...
