1 1/2 inch Heel!

SOOOOOoo called my dress place. I told them i want low heels but do not want my dress to be too altered so that there would be a problem

They said that i should get no bigger then a 1 1/2 inch heel. and if i change into flats for reception that is fine!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ladies.. Where are some EXCELLENT places to look for low heal like that, that is sooooooooooooooooo comfy i may not have to change into flats at all?

I need the same help too! I bought shoes that I loved and when I went for my first fitting the dress was lifting up just a little. SO now I have to find new shoes that I like but with no more then a 2'' heel!

Sandy's Shoes in Massapequa...

Also try the dept stores - you never know.

I found mine - granted they're 3' heels - in the Lord and Taylor clearance rack for $36.

it's REALLY hard. I don't want a wedding shoe, and it's been hard for me to find even a 2 inch heel - my dress is too short for anything higher than maybe 2.5.

BUT if you are okay with wedding shoes, definitely try zappos.com or my glass slipper. they have a bunch

And comfort.. I would keep the same shoe on the whole night so to find a 1 1/2 inch heel i want it to be soooo comfy its like wearing my UGGs. hehehehe.

I am having the same issue. I'm 5'11 and I got the longest length skirt the dress comes in and still have to keep my shoes very low. I've been looking for a low heel shoe but it seems like I can't find anything that I like. So decided to buy pretty much buy the shoes I love and take them to have the heel cut down to the height that works for me. I've seen it done on other shoes and it looks great.

I looked into that but they said the most they could take off my 3 1/2 inch heels would be 1/2 inch and that would still be too high.

My girlfriend bought a pair of shoes that were ridiculously expensive but they were way too high for her, she took them to a shoe repair place that was recommended to her and they cut the heel down. You could never tell there was any work done. As proffessionals they will tell if the work will affect the shoes design in any way. I know there is place in the city that is known for doing heel cutting work.

Are you thinking of Craft Shoes in Commack?

I am 99 percent sure they were in Commack and they were great. Huge selection, reasonable prices.

AWW sorry
I'm not sure how much you wanna spend and do you want to go with 'wedding shoes' as opposed to doing a dressy shoe. I saw a few shoes at piperlime.com that I though were really nice and were flats.

Online! I'm a big proponent of Shoebuy.com or zappos. IMO they have a much bigger selection then I've seen in the stores.
