take a look at the knot...they have a pretty good checklist

straight from real simple magazine
enter rsvp into guest list database. phone invitees who haven't yet responded
get your marriage license. process varies by state and can take up to 60 days. If you are changing your name order several extra copies.
mail the rehearsal dinner invitations
visit dress maker for last fitting. for peace of mind arrange a fitting week of wedding. If you try on the dress that week and it still fits like a glove cancel the appt.
stock the bar, order accordingly. (guess RH does this)
send out as many final payments as you can.
confirm times for hair and makeup and all vendors.
email and print directions for drivers of transport vehicles.
assign seating. draw table shapes on a poster. write female guests on pink sticky notes and male attendees on blue ones and stick them to the tables. this way you can move people around.
purchase bridesmaids gifts to present at rehearsal dinner.
write vows, if necessary
get your hair colored and cut if necessary.

same here. Its also to check different sources b/c someone may show a different variation.
