Do anything special for FH when you hit the 1 year mark. We are hitting the 1 year until the wedding mark on Wednesday and wanted to do something sweet for him......did you guys do anything?

ya know what would be cute???
get a small cake from the bakery your wedding cake will be from - practice cutting it & then feeding it to each other...it may seem silly....but then you can of course, practice the wedding night too.....

we planned on doing something special, but then an emergency came up. We ended up having a special dinner the following day.

Thanks for the ideas. I got him one of those cute black and white cards with the kids dressed up as a bride and groom and wrote my own personal message inside...and I think we will cook a nice candlight dinner for 2 at home.

Yep!!!!! We plan on going on a big vacation the years we actually have an anniversary.....
we'll celebrate March 1 I guess...

Our e-party was 1 day after the 1 year-till-the-wedding mark. FH was supposed to fly in the night of our 1 year mark and get in at 7pm but his flight was cancelled and he didnt end up getting to my house till 4am the next morning... so we didnt even get to see eachother on our 1 year till day. i was just glad he made it at all!
yesterday was our 6 months of being engaged mark. we cooked a fancy dinner and used our china for the first time. we intended to do chocolate fondue and drink the dessert wine he gave me when we got engaged, but we were too full and it got too late. we're going to do that tonight!
we also went out to dinner sat night to the restaurant we went to the night we got engaged (my sis/MOH got us a gift cert there as an e-gift)
Maybe go out to dinner? Give him a card? FH loooves cookie cakes so many one of those with a message on it like '1 year till I become Mrs. ___'

When I hit the one-year mark for my previous wedding date (7/19/08), it was restaurant week, so we took advantage of that and went to a nice restaurant that night...

We hardly ever go out and spend a lot of money, but for our one year mark we went to Blackstone Steak House and it was amazing!!! totally worth every penny!

On our 1 year til I was in Orlando and FH was in Boston so we didn't do anything.
