10 crashing boards :-)

ok ladies, Since you guys have completed this part. Where would you recommend me going with my bridal party for dresses? I have 8 girls.

TIA

As much as it pains me to admit it, if you have 8 girls with different body types, might not be a bad idea to go to DB. We went there and found gorgeous dresses that looked good on all the girls, despite their different sizes and shapes. I hate DB on principle but the dresses all came in the way they were supposed to so I can't really complain!

the EASIEST way to do it, as a way to avoid claws coming out (and super skinny girls suggesting dresses that wouldn't work on everyone), go with your MOH first. This is what I did:

I had a VERY specific color blue in mind for the BM dresses -- steel blue. The closest match I could get was 'Windsor Blue' -- like a Wedgwood blue -- from Dessy. Then my MOH tried on a bunch of dresses that could be ordered in that specific color. We selected 3/4 that we liked. Then we came back again with the bridesmaids and let them 'vote' on the dress they liked out of the group we picked. They all liked the same one (thank God) but I only had 4 BM, not 8.

Oh, and we went to the Bridal Suite of Centereach. They were really helpful and patient. And their prices were the best.

I say go with DB. I have 10 girls and for me they have the largest selection of dresses that are universally flattering. I literally have girls from Size 4 to Size 24 and we were able to find a dress that looks awesome on every single on of them.

I went to RK Bridal for my bm's dresses. They came super fast. I had a good experience.

We went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and I hate to say it but I wouldn't recommend them. The shopping/ordering process was fine, but after that I've never dealt with Davids Bridal, but they do offer a huge selection and colors, looking back now I wish I didn't write them off from the start and gave them a chance!

ETA: BR does have a big selection so if your just looking I would check them out, just don't order from them... if you do smack the seamstress for me!

Well I went w/David's Bridal - 1 for the most important reason - they're a chain - and my BM's were scattered around the place - upstate, LI & MD - so everyone didnt have to come all the way up to me in order to try on & get fitted for their dresses. I had no issues w/ them & would use them again if I ever had to (but dont plan on doing this again...hehe...DH is stuck w/ me! )
