This is really for those who have already had weddings and other events... did you look at the 10 day forecast 10 days before your date? Was it accurate? My outdoor engagement party is next Saturday (the 16th) and I just went to check and not only is RAIN forecasted, but THUNDERSTORMS specifically at night, when I'm having the party!!! We have a tent for the tables but the plan is to have a bar, hors douerve (I can never spell that word right) and other things outside of the tent so I maaaay be having a small panic attack. I hope no one's wedding date is the 16th or if it is, I wish us ALL good weather :(

Thanks so much! I know it'll be a fun time no matter what since we're just looking forward to having some drinks and food with friends and family, but I'll be a little bummed if we're all crammed under a tent or for it

I wouldn't go by that... everytime I did it was not what I expected. I would think oh great sunshine and it would end up being a lousy rainy day.

Can't control the weather, so if you're prepared for rain that's all you can do! You'll enjoy the day no matter what!

It'll change a thousand times between now and then. I looked at the ten day forecast every day for ten days until my engagement shoot. That day it said 30% chance of rain, but we chanced it and there was not a cloud is the sky and a gorgeous day. Don't sweat it. It'll all work out, even if it does sprinkle.

Thanks for reassuring me everyone :) We're rain-prepped and I know it'll be a good time either way, but after 3 months of fingers crossed it was just such a bummer to see RAIN in the forecast as soon as it was available.

You will not know how the weather will be until the day of. The weather is constantly changing so I would not go by the forecast. Wishing for you wonderful weather for your engagement party! Enjoy!
