$10 for shrimp??

Hi girls,
I wanted to add just shrimp to my cocktail hr. and the cost was 10$ pp. Does that seem average or a lot?

What are you all complaining about? If you go out to any average restaurant & get a shrimp cocktail it will cost about $10.00 for 4 to 5 shrimp. Now you want to do the same thing at your wedding and you can't understand why it cost $10.00 PP
Keep in mind this is $10.00 PP for unlimited shrimp, not 4 or 5 in a serving. Your guests can take as many shrimp as they want.I went to a wedding last month..... FH & I probably ate 20 shrimp between us.Yes we're having shrimp at our wedding @ $12.00pp. Happy to pay it . Iove shrimp!

i love shrimp too and thats y i dont get shrimp cocktail at restaurants bc i can do it myself for 10 lol and most rh give you a seafood station for 10 pp with a lot of things included

That sounds ridiculous to me! We had an event at TC & added a whole sushi bar for $4. I know you aren't talking about sushi but it was an entire sushi bar for $4pp

My hall charges $12 pp for a seafood display with an ice scu;pture and it was more than just shrimp. I would call and ask.

Actually I think italgal makes a good point about what you would normally expect to pay for shrimp. it provides perspective.

That is exactly what I was quoted... just to add shrimp...not a full raw bar. I am hoping to be able to add it on as we get closer ...cheaper that $10 of course!

shrimp was 10$ per person... and the whole shebang was $25 per person. FH won't stop bitching about it.. they will do half sea food boat for 12PP which just adds clams and crab legs.. no lobster and something else!

ummmm Thats what they charged me too. I didn't want it. Fh's dad did so I made him cough up the money. I think its because they give you an ice sculpture. I would talk to them again. Between and you and me I was very content with the sushi. But FH's dad is a pain in my butt and JUST HAD TO HAVE IT.
