My fiance thinks I'm crazy, but I'm getting
depressed that we won't be 'engaged' anymore.
I am thrilled to become his wife, but I think
I'm going to miss the 'engaged' part. Is anyone
else feeling this way? Or is it just PMS????
LOL

Hey Lisa! It's DebbieF from WH, I keep trying to write you! You must be so excited. ARe you getting married at St. Thomas, if so what day and time? Tell Eric hello and congrats. When Jonathan and I decided to be only engaged for 8 months at first I was happy, and then sad that we wouldn't get to be engaged anymore, not even over one christmas! It's all good though, there are so many more exciting things and milestones to look forward to. congrats again!

What some people have told me
I had a friend (a guy even) tell me that all three of his sisters got sorta depressed after their weddings. Why? Because all of the planning, excitement, late-night phone calls about RSVPs and cakes was over. Plus you are the center of attention in the family during wedding plans and then 'poof' it is all over. Plus real life begins, no more running from one vendor appointment to the other.
It is a natural, normal feeling. Don't worry. You will begin to settle back to non-bridal life after the wedding and find new things to chat about :)

That is very true...
I felt a little sad when it was all over. Especially when by the time you get home from you honeymoon everyone is done talking about how nice the wedding was and you missed it all.
But... before you know it you have something else to plan for.
I've been looking for a house since my June wedding. We signed a contract today and believe it or not (I can't believe I am going to say this) I feel a little sad that I won't be looking for a home anymore. I said I was sick of it but in a way I will miss spending my weekends looking a for our home.
But... like I said something new will come along... (furniture and decorating)
The planning is really half the fun of the whole wedding. Some people do nothing but complain about it... I feel lucky, I truly enjoyed it!!!!
Good Luck!!!

Thanks Girls
What all of you have said has really made me appreciate my 2 year engagement a lot more. I am such an impatient person and just can't wait till May 16,2004. But what all of you have said has made me realize to take things one day at a time and enjoy every minute. Thanks Girls!!

2 more weeks for me!!
I already know I'll be a little down when it's all over-I get depressed when Christmas ends because so much planning goes into it and then it's over. LOL!!
Enjoy every minute future brides-goes way too fast.
