10 Random things about you

1) I love this site and check it all day but hardly have a chance to reply to a thing because I work at a job that doesn't stop..
2) My friends and family say I should be a writer or actress on Saturday Night Live
3) I am marrying the boy I had the hugest crush on in college and never thought would get the chance to know
4) I am the eldest of 6 children..three boys, three girls..we are a diluted version of the brady bunch...I would be 'Marcia' :) But the youngest one is not in curls..
5) I joined a sorority in college after SWEARING i wouldn't, but happy I did
6) I live in Virginia, work in DC and know that one day soon I'll be back in NY/NJ
7) I love coming up with slogans, writing scripts (I've drafted a few episodes of friends and SNL and would love to be discovered). Basically anything creative and humourous is right up my alley!!
8) I hate cats. I can't help it. I try to like them, but i just don't. I am also allergic to them which prob doesn't add to their charm
9) My best friend and maid of honor LOVES cats and has 9. Yes, 9. I can't ever go to her house.
10) I love and adore my fiance more than anything in the world..he is the most supportive, funny, cutest person to ever come into my life and it is the one thing that really makes me teary eyed..I do not know what i'd do without him!

i'm sorry but that is hysterical! a cow licked me once! i was getting my picture taken and suddenly i felt this huuuuuge tongue licking my head!

I rescue cats on the weekend as part of a feral cat group

I studied abroad in Ecuador and Russia

I make stockings for Xmas and baskets for Easter for my mom and Grandmother, and we even hide the baskets for each other!

Our cats own our house for the most part

I haven't seen my natural hair color in 10 years

My husband and I are vegetarians, I'm working on veganism (just got rid of the leather, working on the wool and honey)

I'm mildly addicted to cute shoes and hand bags

I hate shaving, but do it anyway

I have ADHD

My husband and I plan to adopt rather than have biological children

I must have at least 1 international trip a year, preferably where I can scuba dive

We spend some weekends protesting the current national policies, as well as some citywide policies, the rest of the week we're wearing suits (though still involved in politics)

hmmm.....enough about me, how about you guys?

1. I own more shoes than I have room for in my closet.
2. I once met Bono and still have the bottle of beer he bought me.
3. I have to admit it, I love NASCAR.
4. I've had more fun in my 30's than I ever did in my 20's.
5. When DH is away, I sleep with my old stuffed animals.

This is the greatest thread....

1. I am allergic to yellow dye #5 (in things such as american cheese, certain shampoos, cheese doodles, skittles & other candy). My lips/tongue blow up HUGE.

2. I was a Mets ballgirl for 3 seasons shagging balls down the foul lines (& hanging out w/ them also).

3. Like Felicia I also said I'd love to visit every MLB stadium. When I worked for the commissioner's office we had a pass to get into every stadium. I've been to 9.

4. I'm addicted to candy/sweets to the point where I'd rather have a donut for dinner rather than real food.

5. I'm a Cancer and completely sensitive and can be extremely moody.

6. I love my dog Dakota who currently lives w/ my parents. She was on TV in Michigan and I worked for Fox at the time & ran down to the newsroom when the broadcast was over to rescue her. (They told me it was first come, first serve & I had to drive to the shelter----in downtown Detroit!!!). It was pouring rain & I only had an hour at lunch, but did it. She was 4 lbs. when I got her (she's 70 lbs now!) and my baby.

7. Ray & I met 3 years ago online and I was so sure I wouldn't see him again I told him we could go to Uno's for dinner instead of Uncle Jacks & I didn't even let him walk me to my car. He called & I didn't respond & then 3 weeks later he sent me an email & I decided to give him one more chance. (Apparently he was nervous that first night & came across as a 'tough guy' & arrogant.)

8. My best friend in the world lives in Texas & always has (I never lived in Texas). We met through an Archie Comic Book penpal list at 11. For years we just wrote long, detailed letters to e/o, then graduated to phone calls & for my HS graduation I asked my parents for a trip to Texas. We've been visiting e/o at least 1-2x a year ever since.

9. This will be my 2nd marriage, but now I fully realize what a marriage consists of (not just the wedding day). I feel like I know exactly what I'm getting into & realize the wedding day is just that....1 day. What truly matters is the lifetime after that.

10. I took a $16,000 paycut to change careers after working 11 years in the business world (MLB, ABC, Fox, internet company)to teach (catholic school). Best decision I ever made.

1. FH and I will be dating almost 10 years before we get married
2. I'm always hungry
3. I always have to doodle or draw pictures when I talk on the phone
4. I love playing the AOl solitare games
5. I have to check the alarm clock twice before I go to sleep each night
6. As dorky as this may sound I wish LI had a country music station
7. I can never find a pair of jeans that fit correctly
8. I hate to get my hair cut eventhough my hairdresser is awesome
9. I always have to make sure i have tissues before leaving the house
10. I love shopping for bags on Canal street

5. I met my favorite Yankee, Jim Leyritz, twice... Once at the Yankees Fan Festival in 96 and last year at the sports store in Roosevelt Field.

6. I ALWAYS go shopping on black Friday... except this year I will be on my honeymoon!

7. I still keep in touch and see my elementary school art teacher. She will be invited to my wedding!

8. I have lived in the same house my entire life.

7. I cry very easily... Whenever I even think about 'Because you loved me' I cry because I can't wait to dance w/ my step-father to it at my wedding.

8. FH was my first boyfriend... I'd been asked out before, but I was always convinced they'd hurt me and leave like my dad did to my mom.

9. I have too much clutter. I have one of those rooms where even if everything is put away, it always looks messy because I have too much stuff in it.

10. I'm the oldest, middle, youngest and only child.

Oldest: When I'm at my dad's (he has 2 more form his 2nd marriage)
Youngest: When my step-brother is around (from step-dad's first marriage)
Only: For my mom and dad... and I kind of grew up the only child since my step-brother lived with his mom, and only visted on weekends.
Middle: If you count all my various siblings (older step-brother is 25, I'm 22, half-brother is 16, and half-sister is 13)

*I met DH online. I didn't respond to his first 2 emails b/c I thought he was too short (5'10'). He caught my attention on the 3rd.

*My life seems to revolve around Huntington: my family is from Huntington orginally (my last name is recongized by folks in the area), DH & I came to HT for our 1st date and we eventually purchased a house in HT.

*I was captain of my college crew team

*I'm 6'1' and love heels!!! Preferrably 3' plus.

*I'm a magazine whore. I have subscriptions to 20+ publications.

*I have a BBA, but choose to work PT as a clerk.

*I don't watch TV often. I'd much rather have music on.

*I'm a recovering Pepsi addict.

*I once beat up 5 girls (I was defending a friend) and had 2 cops show up. They gave me props for my 'work'.
