After having attended 10 weddings this year I have come to the conclusion on some things.
1. A good wedding is no way defined by how much money is spent.. the best weddings we went to this year were prob the least amount of money per head
2. dj/band/mc is the most important vendor of the wedding , they will either make or break your wedding
3. centerpieces that block conversations, shed on plates and smell strong are annoying and a huge waste of money
4. filet migon tastes the same at each venue the one that cost 200 a head and the 80 a head wedding
5. a lot of people forget to bring home favors
6. transportation for guests is greatly appreciated and makes guests bond with one another

i agree with the centerpieces part completely. unfortunately my mom is driving me nuts over it.
if it was up to me, i'd have low ones that people can talk over and are cheaper. she's insisting on high, with a thin vase so people can see each other but more elaborate. as long as my parents are paying i dont care though.

I agree with you 100% on all that you wrote !!!!!!!!!! We are going with the smaller centerpieces because yes it could be annoying for your guests ! We have done a lot of research on our wedding .... and you are right .. a lot of people feel that they have to go with the highest prices out there ...and that is not always true !
