10 week workout???

10 week workout???

So, I was reading the yankee trader and came across an ad for a 10 week total body workout class. Has anyone heard or tried this?? It's in a martial arts place but they said that they do a bunch of different things in this class. It's 50 minutes long and you have to go 5 times a week for 10 weeks, (well, you don't HAVE to go but that's the program). It seems like alot to do 5 times a week but if it really works - maybe it's worth it? They told me that they start the class with cardio kickboxing and then work on a different area of the body every day. So Mondays are arms, Tuesdays are chest, etc. Has anyone had any success with something like this?? Anyone else interested in doing it??

HAVE YOU been working out? if not maybe start with something slower and gradually build to this you dont want to over do it. I USEd to work out 5-6 days a week but i had to start off doing 3x a week until i built more strength and stamina

I do work out about two times a week (really need to get my butt in gear). But I called the place and asked what levels it was for and the women said it is a beginners class. She said it is geared for people that have not worked out in awhile. She said the first class is 'mild sweating' and gets hardier each week

I dont know. Sounds tiring just thinking about it. Doing martial arts and kickboxing is tough. And doing 50 mins of it sounds like a lot. It's not easy at all and those workout work your entire body. I used to do Jillian Michael kickboxing and I coudnt walk the next day. I agree with Espo - take it easy the first 2 weeks and maybe do some running on the treadmill and light weights until you get the hang of it and then sign up for the workout.

It sounds like something to really get you in shape too. But then again it something you have to commit to 150% for it to work in 10 weeks.

So go kick some butt - just take it easy.

if its for beginners then try it out...Working out that much for that many days a week will produce amazing results...I used to do that, i wish i was still working out hardcore like that, 6 month mark i think i might hire a trainer lol...but when i did it 2 years ago, i lost 35 pounds in a few months

wow, 35lbs?? that's awesome!!! Yeah, it is alot to do 5 times a week, but at least it is for a set amount of time. I just feel like I have to do something dramatic or I will not reach my goal. I've been 'taking it easy' for awhile now and it's not getting me anywhere!!! hahahaha.

yeah you really have to get into it, i found it to be the best way and best results. Kinda sounds bad but it almost became an obsession to work out and made sure i ate right, its a whole lifestyle change you have to do otherwise thats when you'll fall off the wagon. I need to say this now to myself too, and help convince myself lol

I totally agree. You have to just dive right in to a new lifestyle. I think you have to say 'ok I'm ready... let's do it!'. If you try to ease into sometimes it's easier to fall off. I am so ready!! I just want to look my best on my wedding day.
