100th Birthday Gift?

DH's grandma will be 100 years old next week. She never wants any gifts (says it is time for her to be getting rid of things, not getting) but we want to get her something really special. Any ideas for something unique or special? I am so not creative in this area. Thanks.

Re: 100th Birthday Gift?

I have no ideas, oh wait maybe a memory book, where everyone records a special memory they have with Grandma and even more special a book or tape recorder for her to record her history and memories!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR GRANDMA!!!!! What an accomplishment!! Your family is very lucky to have her!!!!

I think a memory book or scrap book would be wonderful. You can even give it to her blank or half full and say that you and she can fill it in together - I bet she'd love that!

I agree with Jamie..it is somethign special and not 'gifty' for someone who doesn't like gifts.

I did this for my uncle's 75th, and as the cover we ordered the New York Times that was printed on the day of his birth. You can get the info @ NYTimes.com.
