12 years ago today.......
was memorial day Monday and FH was calling to make plans to see Star Wars Episode 1 with a bunch of friends. Something possessed me to say 'How about just the two of us go???' He had no problem cancelling on everyone else.
We didn't know it was a date (my creep of a boyfriend at the time didn't either...oops!) but I guess it was.
We don't celebrate it as our official anniversary...that's our first kiss - June 19, also our WEDDING DAY.
But wow totally amazing.
more about our first date - I was totally late. FH was worried I wouldn't show. He stopped at Duane Reade and got candy there because he didn't want me to have to miss the movie to get candy (he swears he wasn't being cheap..LOL). The last 2 seats were in the front row so we were staring up Jar Jar Binks' nose and everyone had a conical head.
We couldn't figure out what to eat, so we just walked down Broadway and ended up getting McDonalds (odd since I'm a vegetarian, but still). We kept walking down to where our school was and sat in the park watching the sun set.. He tried to kiss me, but I wouldn't let him (I didn't want to cheat on the creep boyfriend who was cheating on me...).
Finally dumped the creep 3 weeks later.
Wow...12 years. UNREAL.
