12.31.08 QOTD

Can you believe this is the last day of 2008? Our year is just a few hours away! So...the last question is....

What has been the best part/experience for you as far as planning your wedding has been this year? finding the perfect dress...the hall...flowers...just the whole concept in general? And whom..besides your fh and us here on LIW has been by your side the most or at least been trying to be supportive and helpful to you as you plan...or maybe even the most excitied for you?

well...for me it wasnt the dress because I knew the dress I wanted for a few years...no joke. I would have to say it was the hall. I had no clue what I wanted until the moment Fh and I wanled into WM and just KNEW! it was totally us and fit the whole comfy home (as opposed to marble catering hall) look that we were going for...the old world wood decor....we were like kids in a candy store and thats when the fun started.

As far as people being excited..of course mom and grandma are excstatic but as far as friends...my bms are amazing. i'd have to say all but 1 have been a dream and made me feel like a true queen with her court this year...I am truly blessed

I would have to say the best part was the proposal itself other than that, which is the expected, i would have to say my dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love it!!!!!!

id have to say the most supportive would be my little sister! Shes only 8 years old and calls me everyday to ask what she can do fo r the wedding! she is beyond excited and willin g to come and help with everything, its def refreshing!

The best part of the planning experience, I think, has been all the dress deliberations. Even though I ended up having to do a re-select a few weeks ago after changing my mind, it's really been SO MUCH FUN, and Wedding Salon was really amazing about it.
As for the MOST supportive, I'd have to say its a 3 way tie between my mom and 2 MOH (sister & best friend). I haven't encountered anyone who hasn't been into it, but I'm careful as to who I tell too much too.

our e-party--so much fun! as far as planning, picking flowers was my favorite part. fiore was my biggest planning ally; it's been nice to be able to bounce ideas of my hall twin

I think the best part of it for me has been to see how excited everyone is and how happy they are that we are getting married! It's been amazing to see how much my friends and family truly love FH and can't wait for him to be an official part of the family and vice versa for his friends and family toward me. It's a really comforting feeling.

As far as who has been there for me, of course my mom and friends, but my MOH who is also my sister has been awesome, even when going through some pretty tough stuff in her own life, including a really bad breakup with her own boyfriend, she has totally been there and I know how hard it has been for her. She's the best!!!

I would say so far changing my wedding date. I had a date set for 2010 and since we decided to make a smaller wedding we upped it to 2009 which was really exciting. But so far besides my fiance no one has been there for me. Its been nonstop fights with my mother because she wants everything she wants and shes been fighting me tooth and nail over every little thing. So far i have been on my own with all the planning besides my FH who has been there for me to listen to my ranting and raving lol.

I dont think I could pick a best part since I really love it all but as far as the person who's helped the most its definitely my mom. My older sister lives in NC and she can't help and my younger sister isnt really into this stuff so she's been a tremendous help!

Finding my dress was the most exciting. That is when it felt real.

My dad has been the most supportive. He goes to every appointment including flowers and invites. Some stuff he has done himself. Its so funny how into the planning he is. My mom and I have gotten such a kick out it. Plus he is always at my new house helping fh paint.

I have to say I have enjoyed everything thus far. Sure, I felt overwhelmed sometimes, but thats because I want everything to be perfect. lol

I think finding vendors that match my personality and totally get what I am trying to achieve. I feel like all my vendors could be my friend! They are all so down to earth, not over the top, and just understand my vision! That has been so great!

i would have to say that I am enjoying every single bit of the process. from the proposal to the dress to the stressing over the small stuff! Fh has been so great with helping me plan and picking out things. i would have to say my mom has been the one who has been by my side the whole time. i dont have the most interested moh or bm's which really ticks me off but i have to just deal with that.

The best part of the process has probably been dress shopping. Thats really the only thing i was able to get my mom involved with since she lives in Florida. I also loved picking the hall...it was an easy choice and Harry at larkfield really cares about us is going above and beyond for our food.

As far as the most helpful im definitely going to say my sister. She has come with me dress shopping every time and has given me so many ideas.

The entire experience has been the best part. I waited a long time to find the right person to marry - and I am so happy that we did find each other. That's the best part.

As far as being the most supportive - I am so extremely blessed in that department. My entire family has been amazing. My friends (who have waited a long time for this as well) are out of this world! I've been friends with them through all of their weddings, babies, some divorces too , remarriages, deaths, etc... and I really thought they would all be over this whole wedding thing - it's so not the case. At least everyday one of them is calling me to discuss wedding plans and say how excited they are. It's just really great.

I can't pin point one thing but, the fact that my FH has literally been so involved and made apts for vendors and did so much research really makes me so happy!

The best part about planning this wedding so far I think was the dress shopping.. that was so much fun.

as for the most supportive it has to be my sister (MOH).. I mean the other day she pulls out a piece of paper with about 100 songs for me to look through for the cocktail hour and then suggesting for the entrance songs and all that.. I was like .. WOAH good job sis.
