Re: 12th night photography question!!!!!!!!!

Hi. I used 12th night photography. Everything had been good, but my only issue is that I was married in February and I still haven't gotten my proofs yet. I think that it took about 5 months for someone else to get her proofs. So that is a little frustrating. But everyone else has been happy with their work and so far, other than this issue, i have been happy too. I just wish i knew that it would take this long.

12th NIght is a little different than some of the other vendors because they have more of an 'a la carte' style. You can pick and choose different things you want instead of having pre-done packages of pictures which can be expensive. They don't include albums which you can have done through people they recommend or on your own.

DH and I used them for our wedding and they were awesome! Such nice and fun people. The only downside I have seen is that it takes them a bit longer to get your proofs back because they do everything in shop. They do everything in the order in which they shoot, to be fair. For me, I don't mind the longer wait as long as the pictures are amazing.

So how are you thinking of getting your album together? Are you going to go with their recommended vendors. Is it actually more expensive to get the album? Maybe im better off sticking with a package that includes the album.

did you get the dvd or the proof package? The images that go onto the dvd are all edited. I was getting a little upset waiting for mine and i got them on Friday and let me tell you - they were worth EVERY SECOND of the wait!

I wound up with 1,034 images!!!!!!!!!!!!

to answer your ?? - their packages and info is on their webpage!

For the album part - it's actually cheaper to do it through them (and by through them - i mean using their vendors) because they are not charging you an arm and a leg for all the stuff...you get it yourself.

For me honestly, we'll be doing coffee table book style - as that's all we'd really look at over the years...so that we can do on any website!

I will think about the album vendors. Its kinda different from the traditional wedding packages but i will compare prices with olivierkpognon.com..thanks for the tip

honestly - the great part about it is that you can pay for your package without albums prior to the wedding - and AFTER - once you are on a better monetary plain....you can add the albums....

I LOVED 12th night!! Haven't seen my proofs yet but I have no doubt they will be amazing. I was warned about the wait time beforehand...which I have no problem with.

I used Geraldine and Vanessa who were both AWESOME in every way!!!!

the best thing about 12th night IMO is that you own your images, and can make a zillion copies if you want, professionally or at home. BEcause you own the images, you can get the album whenever you want. I have seen friends who have gone with other photographers and they do not own the images, any copies they want have to come through the photographer and they charge an arm and a leg!

i have to agree with the last post!

the dvd that they give you - it's NOT COPYRIGHTED!!! We can burn thousands of them if we want to!

We ended up getting the DVD montage for albums and will probably make our own on Shutterfly or Photobucket for my grandparents.
