My doc said everything looks good I got to hear my peanuts heartbeat, I was hooked, I think I am going to rent a machine.
My doc said I gained 2 pounds from my 8 week visit which she said'It should be more next time'. at 17 weeks.
How much weight should you gain in the 2nd trimester 1 pound per week??? I have been eating way more that usual. I think I may just be one of the one's that will gain in the end. I started off at a normal weight

I gained a lb. a week in my 2nd tri and now that I'm in my 3rd it's tapered off. I think you're supposed to gain 1/2 lb.-1lb a week in your second tri.

1/2 - 1 sounds about right - but everybody is different. Just keep eating a well balanced diet and your body will decide what it needs to do for that little baby!

What a great question!! I went on the scale yesterday and then I was in such a bad mood. I hadn't gained that much the first trimester. In the past three and a half weeks I put on another 5 pounds. I felt HUGE!!! I didn't realize you were suppose to gain about a pound a week. That makes me feel so much better, so thanks wino2!! You've put me in a better mood.

I think you are doing fine. With Annalise I gained nothing in the first trimester. The OB never said anything about it. This time I did not see a midwife until 9 weeks. I gained 2lbs. as of my 15 week appt. Again, nothing was said and this was a different practice than the first pregnancy.
