i think you should check out another florist and see what kind of quote they give you...

i am sure that the florist upstate is probably a bit overpriced but at the same time, i would be careful that pedestals is giving you too low of a quote...

i know someone who wanted $16,000 worth of flowers and found a florist to do it for half the price...she was so disappointed --she was expecting $16,000 worth of flowers --all i am saying is be careful of vendors who 'promise the world' for next to nothing...

Did Pedestals say that they can do your wedding upstate? Because if so, I would trust them and use them. They are an experienced, professional vendor and would not sign a contract unless they could honor it...I would seriously go with them if they can do it.

Good luck and don't pay someone's entire wedding budget on just flowers (roses at that!).

I agree. They assume that just because you live around NYC -they can ask for outrageous amounts --and they assume you'll pay it.

They are in westchester, but also very expensive.

I live down here, have a summer home near Lake George and we are getting married at the Sagamore on Lake George in Bolton Landing.

OMG!!!! So sorry to hear that GG!! I hope the rest of your weekend was good! Sorry we didn't make it. I have your tm for you in the fridge, hopefully the flowers won't die before the blizzard ends!! Did you see any other florists up there? There has got to be a more reasonable florist near the Sagamore. I will double check again with my co-worker who her daughter is working with. That's where I went......thanks though

I think that's why they were so $$$$$$ They don't really do 'our kind' of wedding up there. They think a 12 rose bouquet is normal sized.
