Ok so today was my rsvp due date and I still need to hear from 152 poeple. This is so frustrating. why dont people send them back... When should I start calling peopel.
out of 285 invited we got 102 yes 31 no
has this happened to anyone else

I think it happens to everyone!! One question for you though, did you put forever stamps on? If not, some of your responses may have not made it in the past week since postage price went up!
But we did get some in the week after the RSVP date...I would wait until the weekend at least to start calling!

Oh good! well in that case, yeah I would still wait about a week....you still have plenty of time. And people may start to call YOU or email if they realize they missed the date...that happened to us. We also sent out an email to some groups of ppl reminding them about booking hotel rooms, and put a gentle reminder in to send their RSVPs if they hadn't, that helped get a few more!
For some reason the concept of an rsvp date is beyond most people. We had the same thing happen to us - though definitely not as bad as you. We actually got a few rsvps after we were already married!

we did the same. the email and website updates helped push a lot of responses back to us.

id say call .. i know personally im so horrribleeeeeee with RSVP'S i always end up calling the person lol and saying hey im going ..

people may assume they have more time because your wedding is not until July so they may assume that responses are due next month. Unfortunately people often do things we cant understand and that annoy us!!

Relax, give it a few days-I got ALOT of RSVPs after the date-but all within a few days.

I think you have plenty of time. My rsvp date is not until June 2nd...I am still missing 125 (alittle over a third).

I agree, you have over a month to go still so they probably put them aside and are not even thinking they're due yet.

I would give it a week then start calling people- some just don't know how to make a check mark, write their name, and then how many people and then drop it in the mail.
I think some folks are just lazy when it comes to RSVP's.

I think this is pretty common for people who give an early rsvp date. I think most people figureif they get it in 3 weeks early then it is fine since most halls require 1 week for the head count. If I were you I would give guests another week or two and then begin the annoying task of calling them all. But dont stress it yet!!

People are sooo lazy sometimes... Honestly, I would give it another week or 8 days before you satrt calling because people probably mailed them out 1-2 days before your RSVP date.. Personally, I think its kinda rude that people don't respond by the date because that just gives us a bigger headache and another 'to do'!

Only because I have such a large A and B list, I would call if that was me. I'd start calling right away, since I need to know how many ppl from the B list I can accomodate.

There's always people that don't RSVP or RSVP late. I say give it a day or two and then start calling people. It ***** to have to call them, but how else will you find out? Maybe this is the kind of thing you can divy up names to FH and your BMs so that you're not stuck calling all those people by yourself.

Hi Date twin!! Iam in the same boat as you. My due date was the 15th. ANd Iam missing so many people. Everyone is telling me its because we picked the 4th! Iam so ticked off at everyone. As it looks right now we need to come up with 40 more people since we guaranteed 150. This has been the most frustrating thing yet.
