sounds very high in my experience. Our centerpieces were tulips but they were $80-90 each and I loved them.
Yes, Jenny some of them are crazy, I got a wild quote also especially after they find out where you are having reception. You should shop around some more and also consider using some filler greens to bring down the cost.LOL

I payed $175 per table and had all roses with vines hanging down. There was also a small arrangement on the base of the stand with candles surrounding it. It was beautiful but expensive!

I found with centerpieces the really nice full ones were always at least $150. When someone quoted me less I could see through the flowers.

I have seen people spend even more for centerpieces, i dont know why you guys are bugging out over it. I have an idea in my head about what i want for my centerpieces, i dont mind spending the money, flowers are very important to me. If it is what i want and i feel confident that im getting my moneys worth the bottom line doesnt really maztter. You get what you pay for.
I dont know maybe im just babbling

YES, THEY ARE ALL NUTS. But heck, why not, we have no choice right?! But, i agree with Diane, you can do better than $7500. Good luck!

Re: $175 FOR CENTERPIECES-R THEY ALL CARZY?!
$175 per centerpiece doesn't shock me in the least. I paid $150 for high centerpieces that were less elaborate and I booked over a year ago. To keep the budget in control, I did half low centerpieces, which I would suggest thinking about. Does $7500 include an elaborate chuppah, entry way arrangement, cocktail hour flowers etc? Over 20 tables? If so, again, I am not surprised by the quote of $7500. I would guess that there is still some room for negotiation though, and yes, you can find other florists who would be cheaper but might not deliver the same product.

I dont know what else you have in your $7500 quote but $175 for a high centerpiece is not high at all. I didnt get quotes for the type of centerpiece your are describing but the high centerpieces I did get quotes for were in the $200-$250 range. If you dont want to spend so much, get smaller centerpieces.

I'm not sure if this helps, but I paid around the same range for mine and this is what I got...you decide if that is alot...its your own preference.

Re: $175 FOR CENTERPIECES-R THEY ALL CARZY?!
Are you renting or buying the pedestals? I had high centerpieces (all roses with ivy and baby breath) at my wedding and they were $85 a table. My hall provided votives and I RENTED the pedestals - the florist came back the next day to pick them up. The flowers were easily removed from the pedestals and given away to people. The flowers lasted over a week. They were beautiful. $150 isnt too bad though....my florist said different types of flowers was more money though. Just something to consider. Maybe you want to use all one flower.
Edited to say my centerpces were 2 dozen roses a table - no i dont have pic right now....sorry.

Verdila, thanks for saving me from a heart attack. Those sound just like the centerpieces we want, and I had def. budgeted under $100 for each. $7500 for flowers is insane, that is more than I am paying for my 2 week honeymoon!

Re: $175 FOR CENTERPIECES-R THEY ALL CARZY?!
Verdila, how much were the pedastal rentals? Are you saying you rented them on your own or was that part of the florist price?
For me $150 per centerpiece included rental of the stand which the florist took care of.
