do a donation instead of favors and give out a small bag of hershey kisses or something and see if you can get a hair trial...

the fmil and hair trial goes hand in hand, being that she is a hairdresser and is doing my hair trial. 3 hair trials later (and her being extremely controlling), i cried hysterically to fh tonight because i did not grow my hair out so long for the last year for fmil to FORCE me to wear my hair up....

ouch! That's a sticky situation. This is tough but tell her that if she won't do your hair the way you want it, you'll find someone who will. Sorry!!!

FMIL needs to understand it's your hair and your day. 19 days from now, it will all be over and you will officially be a Mrs.! Try not to be stressed out and don't worry about favors...it'll all come together.

ugh, she is just driving me crazy!!! fh is thankfully on my side and he says i should go elsewhere since she's clearly not listening to a word i'm saying, but i know this is gonna cause MAJOR problems! i don't know why she's doing this!!

What about laying it on thick to try and get through to her?
'Ever since I was little I dreamed of having my hair down or half down on my wedding day. I am marrying the perfect man, and I want see how my hair looks down to make see if my feelings are still the same. Could we do a trial where its down, so we can compare which is better?'. Or something like that lol
For favors, what about a candy bar, buying bulk candy and letting people take what they would like?
Or go to a wine store (if you like wine) and see about the sutter mills or sutter homes (whichever it is, obviously not a wine drinker here lol) and look into the little bottles they have

Just tell her you want her to be relaxed the day of the wedding and not stressing over doing your hair.
Send her to get a mani/pedi as a gift and when she is occupied with that do a trial with another hair stylist. Have the stylist then do both your hair on the wedding day so your FMIL thinks you really want her to relax and does not get angry.
