def not too late. mine is going from 7 to 1:30am lol . most of my guests are russian and at russian restaurants the party goes on till like 4am :) 1:30 is early for us.
on the real though..if ur party is on a fri or sat. night i think its perfectly ok.

My reception ends at eithet 1 or 1:30am. It starts at 8, I think the people who want to go will go and if they have to leave early then they can. I know it's going to be hard for ME staying up late! lol. Good luck!

we decided not to end ours late because we have people traveling from the tri state area and don't the area. I figured the bridal party and our friends will just go out after around the hotel. Ours ends about 10.

My wedding ended at 5:30 in the afternoon, and the place was completely empty by the time the last song came on. So I guess you never really know....people will leave when they leave, regardless of when your wedding is.

It depends on your family and how far they have to travel. I would be afraid of people leaving early...

If you have a big group and it's a Saturday it should be fine. My ceremony was at 7:15 on July 26, and the light was perfection.

I dont personaly think its to late but then agian i am 24... I think that it all depends on the age group your wedding will mostly be.. .I think that alot of the older ppl will leave after cake. i did a 12:30 ending time. Its not a big differnce in time but usaly by 12 ppl start itching to leave so if it ends at 12:30 more ppl will stick out the half hour not many may want to wait a whole another hour... HTH

I don't think 1am is too early. My brother's wedding ended at 1am and we all went out after that. When I was looking at RH's I wanted one that would also end at 1am. I thought that 12 was too early to end.

it is a saturday night. the ceremony is at 6, but it's not at the RH, so w/ travel time and whatnot, that puts us at the RH at 7:30 or 8. the truth is that i'd like to be @ CH by 7:30 to catch the sunset, but i'm worried about feeling rushed

i dont think its too late at all mine ended at 12 and part of me was ready to GO i was beat had been up since 6 but part of me was like are you kidding me its over already! lol just be ready for people to keave early no matter what time you have it end!

i think if its a saturday night you should be okay, although some people may leave after your cake is cut...
IMO i wouldn't go that late on a Friday, i recently wen to a Friday night wedding that ended at 12:30am, and i was up @ 4:30am that morning for work so i was like, dead by then lol...

depends on the day of the week. This past Friday I was at a wedding that was set to end at that time, but I was dead tired and left by midnight. I (like many others) am up kinda early each morning, so after a night of 4 to 5 hours of sleep, there was no way I could stay till 1 am. Wish I could have. Saturday would really be the only good day for something like that (although there are a lot of people who have got to be up early for Sunday church, but they can deal with it. It's not like work.)

it's on Sat night? You're fine! Mine will be ending @ 1 also, just because we have an extra hour for viennese and it begins a bit late. Go ahead and get yourself some kick *** music that will make the night fly! People will have so much fun they won't even realize the time!

As long as it's a Friday or Saturday night you're fine. If it's any other day people might leave early to get up for work the next day.

My wedding is also ending at 1am. Besides the extremely elderly and people traveling distances to get home, I think most of your closest friends and family will stay until the end no matter what time you choose. It's your special day and they want to be there with you until the end. The ones that may not last are probably the guests you are the least close to (i.e. maybe your parents friends etc won't make it until 1am)
