I had my first fitting today and it was not a good experience. When we walked in the girl at the desk was okay, she did what she had to do. Then we are brought to the back with my dress, the girl helping us hardly spoke English and made pushed herself right into the dressing room to help me get dressed. I felt very awkward being half naked in front if her. Then the streamstress came in.
No hello, no congrats, nothing. She was SO rude. Pinning me up in a rough way, like I was bothering her. Then. My sister and I had a question about my veil. We were trying to explain our question/problem and she cuts us off, not listening to a word we were saying. Just telling us that this is the way it is. We were getting SO freaken frustrated, I almost cried. I thought that this was suppose to be a happy day? Instead it was a horrible one.

sorry to hear you had a bad first dress fitting.
as for being naked in front of them, didnt you do that when you were trying on dresses? i hated that too when i was trying stuff on.

i had a bad experience at the one in massapequa - the girl helping me would fling the door open as i stood their half naked - other places I went to the girl didnt go in with me, the stood near the curtain and helped if asked.
im sorry it didn't go well - but im sure your dress will look great!!

that is so rude of them! Yes it should be a very exciting time!
I would call up and asked to speak with a Manager and tell them how rude everyone was.

I would call the manager! You are spending enough money you should get some service!! You could also call the manager at the carle place location, tell her what happened and ask for your dress to be moved to their location for your fittings. So sorry this was a bad experience!!

Yeah I hate the whole naked thing, but these women are so used to doing this that they don't even think about it. Talk to one of the sales people about the veil. The language barrier may have contributed to her acting that way.
It will be better next time.

I would call and complain to a manager. It might make you feel a lot better if you just vent all your frustration on them.......LOL. Your wedding is supposed to be a happy time.

Who did you deal with? I got my dress from there. They were nice but when I made the decision to buy, next thing you know they were sticking things in my face saying sign here. I felt rushed but I was so excited that I finally made a decision. Looking back, I would have taken more control of the situation.
Let me know who you dealt with so I can steer clear of her : )

Don't let them ruin this for you. They were rude and obnoxious! I'm sure the dress will come out beautiful. It stinks what should have been a happy day turn out this way. Forget about the service and remember how much you love the dress.

I spoke with the manager and she was rude too. Thank you all for the support. You're right once I made the decision to buy they were no longer caring.

i always thought carle place was worse but maybe it's better to go there instead, it's only down the block from me anyways.

Sorry you had to go through this hun and even the manager was rude if you want to take it to the next level I am sure there is someone who is over her head. Howver, now BRIDAL Reflections of Carle Place have been put on blast so all future brides BEWARE.

i had the same experience at bridal reflections in massapequa when i was a bridesmaid would never go back for my wedding because they were so rude, it didnt happen to only you has happened to all my friendds too. just be strong stick up for yourself and remember its your day, get want you want even if they have to work on the dress an extra hour or two, get it the way you want, my friend is having a problem at macys manhasset too, they dont let her finish her words they tell her its this way and only this way. Be nice and strong and it will all go well, just dont get upset about it remember, in the end walking down the isle to the man of your dreams is all that matters, and you will look beautiful no matter what!! good luck to you!
