So I had my first fitting and wanted to get everyone's opinion on the dress. Its a demetrios dp110...it originally had straps but I had them make it strapless. Its pretty and I do like it but it wasn't the WOW factor I thought I'de feel which is upsetting I thoght the dress made my hips look big and then I thought that maybe it was a little plain and that maybe I should include a sash since the way the dress was originally it had a sash. I don't know? Any thoughts or suggestions? I couldn't get them to post so they are in my album.

i LOVE that dress! you're going to look beautiful once you're all done up with hair and makeup and veil. but only that dress is hot!

I love the dress!! I'm a complete lace fanatic......I think you look beautiful in it, but if you're doubting it, then I'm sure you can make some minor changes- if you want the dress to have more 'oomph', can you get a semi full slip or something? not sure if it would work with the cut of the dress. or you can get a really pretty rhinestone brooch or something to put on it somewhere. I remember a while back there was someone who opted for putting some kind of jewelry on her dress because she was unhappy with her dress as is. I'll try and find it!
ETA- K, I went through some old FM's and I remember it was AlliCatB....she used to have some pics in her album of brooches, but you can always FM her as to where she got hers, if that's something you're interested in! HTH!

Aug07OFCbride has a similar dress!!!! She is using a broosh on her sash to give it some oohmf, it looks gorgeous! Take a look at her album. BTW you look gorgeous in it. Have you tried it on with a slip, veil, jewelry? That all makes a big difference!

I wasn't planning on wearing a necklace? Think I should? I was only going to wear the chandelier earrings I actually have on in the pics although they may be hard to see since my mom is not the best picture taker. haha

love the gown!!! not sure where see the big hips or anything , honestly it a beautiful gown. Yes i think it should have a stash it might bring it out more. just my opinion,
I think the dress needs to be fitted more when you get it back from the first round of alterations then try it on and look at it and I think you might change your mind on not liking it.
I think its lovely dress but I love lace. Things don't need to be so flashy people look like ******** drag queens or a princess quidette in wedding too much today.
Once it is fitting and you see something is still missing try it on with a fitted slip on your hip area and some fullness on the bottom and it would give you more deff. in your waist. That is what I am doing for my dress. If that still doesn't do it then try it with a sash and have a broch handy to maybe just add a suttle little splash. Sashes take no tiime to come in ... especially with a rush on them.

That dress is beautiful! If you feel it's plain, order the sash and decide closer to the wedding if you want to wear it. It's got a gorgeous bustle too!

I think it's gorgeous the way it is! If you want to add somthing to it, I do think a sash & a nice broach would look amazing.

Sweetie, if you want to see some REAL big hips...check out my album uner 'Fittings!' You look exquisite! I absolutely love your gown. I think a sash may be a good idea if you really feel it is too plain, but I love it the way it is!!

Thanks for photoshopping it! I was thinking of doing a white sash. I like both of these style sashes. What do you think?
