OK for all those who is their 2nd or his 2nd... are you expecting the same people to come to this wedding that was at your first??? Are you expecting gifts?? Since this is FH's 2nd I dont know about his family driving 5 hours for wedding #2.

DH had a huge wedding over 10 years ago (St Patricks and a reception hall in Manhattan). We had a smaller wedding (just over 60 guests), but this was for 2 reasons: 1) we paid for it ourselves and both wanted a more intimate wedding 2) he was totally turned off by how out of control the 1st wedding got, he hated how he had no say in anything and everyone else took over. He says the 1st wedding was the worst day of his life. very sad...
So, we basically elminated extended family and didn't invite cousins on his side (except for 2) because that would have been 50 more people. We also didn't invite any of our parents friends.

I don't like 'first' because it implies there will be more. So I'm going with 'only': its the only marriage for both of us.
