depending on the venue we choose, we will either be the first wedding to begin (starting at 11:00) or the second (starting at 12:00).
if any of you are using (or have used) venues with more than one wedding, what would you say are the pros/cons to being the first wedding and the second wedding?
thanks!

Re: 1st or 2nd Wedding???
are you having the ceremony on site? I would think that if you are, then being the second wedding, you would have to worry about the first wedding running behind and then you would be running behind. Also, you might be competing for photo locations at the venue. I don't know how that works. But those would be my concerns.

I would definitely want to be the second wedding. You don't want to feel rushed out so that they can set up the next bride. Just my opinion.

I am the first wedding at my RH. I think the pro is that by the time the 2nd wedding starts, your already partying so its totally out of your mind.

Re: 1st or 2nd Wedding???
yep, my ceremony would take place on-site. the two venues i'm choosing between (fox hollow & westbury manor) already have weddings booked. with fox hollow i'd be the first, and with westbury i'd be the second.
my concern with being the second is that there'd be noise from the other ceremony during my ceremony (the first wedding would be having their cocktail hour at the time - which is outside - in what seems to be close proximity to where the ceremony is.
my concern with being first is like someone said - being rushed out.
not sure if it should play a role in which venue to choose.

Re: 1st or 2nd Wedding???
We are the first wedding and so far the only one that day. I really did not think about the second one too hard b/c we were getting such a good price. But I asked the BM about what if there is a second wedding and he said we would not be inconvenienced at all b/c they have two bridal suites. By the time we wrapped up our wedding, the second would be just getting started.
