1st time dress shopping!

Hi Ladies!!

I am going dress shopping for the first time next weekend!!

Where should I go?

How many places should I go to in one day?

Any other things to know about the first day out?

I was only able to make it to about 2 places before i had enough of everyone asking 'so what do you think of this one'
I don't know where you are coming from, but despite a few bad reviews, I actually loved Paradise bridal. They have a big selection.
Village was ok for me. (I won't go back)
Macys was actually a good experience, but they didn't have a huge selection.
I'm going to princess bridal this weekend, only because they carry a lot of the designer I like.

Hey there!! You're going to have a blast. My favorite places to shop were Paradise Bridal in Patchogue, Village Bridal in Babylon, and Charisol Bridal in Queens. I probably wouldn't go to more than two places in a day. It's surprisingly exhausting trying on those dresses! Definiely eat before you go and bring a strapless nude bra (though some places have them that you can borrow), water, a camera (just in case- I know Village Bridal let's you take pics!), don't wear a thong, and leave your modesty at the door! Also, try and keep an open mind when trying on styles, especially since it's your first shopping excursion. You might be surprised what you fall in love with once it's on you! Good luck!!!

I got my dress at Macys Bridal and had a very pleasant experience there. The first place i looked was David's bridal because they have a lot you can try on. It is there that I figured out what style I wanted. Went to Reflections but they were otu of my price range. Fell in love with the first dress i tried on at macys and got it there...

All I can say is dont to go tTOO many places,, it can drive you NUTS!!!

I went to 12 places and was miserable with the experience, it was extremely stressful for me. Try to really think if you can see yourself getting married in that dress. It's also really hard to judge because none of the dresses are in your size..

I ended up getting a sample dress from Bridal World in Baldwin, they're a no frills store but they have good prices and a decent selection.

I had great shopping experiences at Alexandria's in Forest Hills, Macy's Bridal in Manhasset has amazing customer service!
