2 friends passed away Please Help

Not easy to post but I do need help. 2 good friends of my Groom passed away a week ago, our wedding is in 12 days. You probably saw it all over news, killed by a drunk driver while walking on hempstead turnpike. It's been very hard for us all, but I'd really like to do something in their memory at our wedding. Please post any ideas, im still too blank to think. Thank you so much girls!

I'm so sorry to hear this...

Maybe have a moment of silence and prayer at the ceremony?? Then include them on a memorial table along with anyone else that has passed??

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. I have seen this a few times in the reviews that past brides have written.

I borrowed the pic from google...but I know that you can easily DIY and make these memory candles.

I think you can just go to the store- buy the candles- print pictures from online- print their names or a poem or something - glue them right on and use some ribbon to trim it and decorate.

I HTH. Good Luck and God Bless

OMG I am so sorry... that is so sad... RIP...

I just read the article online... why bad things happen to good people is beyond me... they made the right decision by walking and they get punished for it... insane...

I was going to suggest that you dedicate their favorite songs to them... or maybe set up a table with their pictures and candles as sort of a memorial

I agree with the moment of silence during the ceremony. That would be a very nice way to honor their memory.

Perhaps you could have a moment of silence during your ceremony if that's something you're willing to do.

I'm so, so sorry for the loss. This just makes me so sad.

I am so very sorry that happened to you.
I was thinking if there is some sort of tribute that would be more about their life than death.
Perhaps a set of songs to dance to from their favorite music.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I live in East Meadow and say a prayer every time I pass the memorial setup. I think a memory table and a moment of silence is the best idea.

OMG! I am SO SORRY for your lose!!!!

There are a couple ideas that we're doing for 'those who can't be there'. We bought 'memory vases' and we're going to put 2 on each table on either side of the centerpieces. I don't have any grandparents and he doesn't have 2 of his and his Godmother so depending on what side of that family that is going to be the memory glasses that are on your table.

Also for our grandparents we are going to put our Grandparents wedding pictures on the table that has the seating 'cards'.

Are you doing a 'second' wedding dance? I didn't even know about these but our DJ told us about it. We're not doing this but maybe make a song where you and your husband dance to a song that you can dedicate to them and then have everyone else come up.

I'm sure whatever you come up with will be very special to everyone! Good luck!!!! And I'm sorry again!

I saw at a wedding they let doves fly in rememberance of the bride's father who passed away and they said a special prayer as they did this.. it was really nice and thoughtful but very sad..

I am so sorry for your loss! I went to school with Joey growing up. Although I havent seen him in many many years, I am devastated by what happened to him and his brother! Maybe you can take up a collection or donate money for TJ's daughter?
I hope you can figure out something nice to do - i am so sorry for you and yourFH's loss....
