Not easy to post but I do need help. 2 good friends of my Groom passed away a week ago, our wedding is in 12 days. You probably saw it all over news, killed by a drunk driver while walking on hempstead turnpike. It's been very hard for us all, but I'd really like to do something in their memory at our wedding. Please post any ideas, im still too blank to think. Thank you so much girls!

I am so sorry for your loss. You could have a rose placed on the seats at the wedding with a poem and then have a memory table. That is what we are doing for my parents and then we are having a dance in honor of them.

OMG! I am so sorry for your loss
I think a memory candle would be a nice idea and or a little write-up in your program.

I am sorry for your loss; One of my co-workers lived across the street from one of the boys and was telling me the story this morning and I felt horrible.
I would recommend candled burning in their honor and a moment of silence for them during your ceremony. I wouldn't recommend putting pictures up of them only because some people might not be able to handle that part very well, especially since it happened recently.

I am so sorry for your loss. The moment of silence is a nice idea. I have also seen a section in the programs dedicated to people that have passed on.

I am very sorry for your loss
I like the idea of the memory candle as well as the 2nd dance with a dedication.
As hard as it will be try to remember they will be smiling down upon you on your wedding day....
God Bless during this difficult time.

Sooooo sorry for your loss. I agree with the other posters. A moment of silence during your ceremony and a mention on the Program...acknowledging their presence in your life and what it meant to your FH. A memorial candle to acknowledge them with pictures of them through the years is nice, but I don't know if you want to bring all those happy and sad emotions to your wedding.

Perhaps you could have a moment of silence during your ceremony if that's something you're willing to do.
I'm so, so sorry for the loss. This just makes me so sad.
With the most humble respect to this idea and what you have been through, I would say NOT to do a moment of silence at the ceremony.
The ceremony is about the 2 of you, not the people you have lost yesterday, or 3 years ago.
You dont want this day to be about grieving, and sadness.
Your grooms friends want you to be happy, live life, and celebrate.
I would suggest that maye have a toast to your friends after the best man and MOH toast. That way you can just say 'to our friends who could not be here X and Y, we miss you...' Or something like that. And again I mean no disrespect the X and Y, its just a way to get your point across.
But frankly, do whats right for you. If a moment of silence is right do it! If an insert in the program is right, do it. If a toast to their life and friendship and is right, do it.
I am so sorry for your loss.
