what do you think? i have two really close friends and am having a hard time deciding between the two of them to be my maid of honor. the one that i've known the longest and would probably say is my number 1 pick, lives out of state. i don't want all of the MOH responsibilities to be a burden on her due to the distance. my other friend lives closer (about an hour away), yet is pregnant with baby #3 (her other 2 kids are both under 4 years old) and she's a bit overwhelmed these days.
i'm not getting married until december 2007, yet i'm torn between my two friends. both of my friends have already offered to help in any way the can. if i ask both of them, they could share the responsibilities. yet, i don't want to insult them either. any thoughts on having 2 MOHs?

I have two maids of honor, my two sisters, I don't think there is anything wrong with it, I'm sure they would both be honored.

Re: 2 maids of honor??
I was in a wedding where my friend and I were dual MOHs, and I don't think it was weird at all! We all had the same dresses, but we had different bouquets than the rest of the BP. The bride had the same difficult decision: we were all equally close!

Re: 2 maids of honor??
I have 2 MOH - my sister and my best friend. My FH has both his bothers...if not I would have chosen my sister but it definitely helps with the burden having 2.

Re: 2 maids of honor??
I have two! My sixteen year old sister and my best friend. I figured that my sister would have a really hard time with all of the responsibilities since she's young and my best friend is soo excited to be a part of it too (plus,,shes an awesome party planner )!!!

I have 2 MOHs and FH has 2 BMs. We both have 2 closest friends and didn't want to have to pick just one.

Re: 2 maids of honor??
My best friend had me and her 16 yr old sister at the time as MOH's. I think it worked out well because there were a lot of things that her sister was not able to do on her due to her age that I was able to accomplish. I say go for it!

I don't see anything wrong with two...I'm having a Maid of Honor and a Matron of Honor...they are both my sisters and it was too hard to choose between them.

Re: 2 maids of honor??
i am having a maid and matron of honor.. is one of your friends married already... dont pick between them have them both.. so long as they understand to compromise on things and wont argue in a competative thing.. make split resonsibilities between the two clear!
