Is anyone getting 2 different invites, ones for your A listers and the others for your B listers??? Is this silly to do?

Why do you need different invites just because you have an A list and a B list?
THe main ones will be for family and more important guests (kinda expensive) and the others for my friends, bec we have sooo many friends, (nice invites but less expensive).
But I am not going to send out different ones, forget it.
yeah i realized after, you dont mean that your sending out invitations at separate times so its not like an A list and b list thing but more like certain ppl would get an invite and others wont, but they'll all get it at the same time

i personally think an A list and B list is a bit tacky...and if the people off the B list find out that is so insulting that they prob will say no anyway...
but its a personal choice and if you find A and B list are okay go for it
I dont think its tacky at all. We dont have enough money to invite everyone and in our case I have 75 family members coming and Fh has 25 at most. Thats already uneven. He has had to sacrifice with the guest list so much because of my family and the least I could do is have a B list so more of his friends would be able to come. Were only doing it for friends, not family so we wouldnt have to worry about family finding out what were doing. Maybe for people who can afford to invite everyone, it would be tacky but for poor people like me, its gonna help us out so much!

Yeah I wanted to do a b list for my friends and the a list for family. Are you sending your friends a different invite than your family???

Yeah the invites will be sent out the same time but my family and imp pp will get the main invite while my friends were going to get a less expensive invite. Is that what a and b list means, who is imp and who is less import????

NO its the same invite just different response dates on the response cards. It would be almost impossible for anyone to find out about the b list that way.

That's what I was confused about. I could see feelings getting hurt that's why I was like huh?

Re: 2 Sets of Invites???
I would just order a set of reply cards with one date and another set of reply cards with another. And send them out earlier so when you get no's back you can start sending out your b list.

I dont know what your budget is like but I know invites can be crazy expensive but I would probably have to advise against sending people 2 different invites. Just because they may find out that they got a cheaper invite. At the wedding you have to display one so the photog can take pics and when they see that they might be like, 'Thats not the invite I got'

Re: 2 Sets of Invites???
Honestly we don't have a B list but we did order enought extras in case we need to invite additional people.
If you do have an A and B list I'd still get the same invites- you never know who will be talking to who about them.
